The Education to Workforce team is part of Amazon Web Services Public Sector group and is focused on helping students and educators across the world build their cloud knowledge and skills to pave the way for careers in cloud computing.The Education to Workforce team is responsible for coordinating with state, province, and country leaders to define, design, and implement a comprehensive strategy to ensure a cloud-ready workforce in each market. Our Education to Workforce team is a global program and the scope of this role will focus on India & South Asia. The ideal candidate will be acting as the country leader in driving education to workforce agenda, activities, country level strategic planning and all relevant high-stake and high-level mission tasks. You will establish and maintain high-level relationships with senior government, education, and workforce officials in your territory, understanding their workforce needs and successfully implementing AWS education, training programs, and services to help them prepare a cloud-ready workforce in their markets.You will be responsible for developing opportunity pipelines, evangelizing workforce offerings, and driving successful adoption and implementation of related education and workforce-readiness programs (e.g AWS Educate, Academy) within government and education institutions.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a mission-oriented and fast growing, entrepreneurial organization to bring innovation and influence to the economic development and workforce resiliency in the APJ. This role will require you to scale these efforts in a highly complex environment through strategic initiatives across multiple teams.Key job responsibilities Some of the key job functions: Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders (e.g. faculty, curriculum leads, education and government leaders, and employers) and internal teams (e.g. product, marketing, content, membership, recruiting). Drive successful implementation, including curriculum and program development; educator professional development; employer engagement; collaboration with government, non-profit organizations, and other workforce development intermediary organizations. Work closely with institution program developers and faculty to structure and align academic program Facilitate regional planning and implementation, including needs assessments, strategic planning, localization, and progress monitoring. Capture insights and best practices to enhance the model, with an emphasis on efficiency and scale. Coordinate with other Amazon teams (e.g. AWS EDU sales, Public Policy, AWS Partner Network) to maximize regional impact. Work with US and international Education to Workforce program managers to understand and address programmatic, curricular and UX pain points related to implementation. Manage program deliverables within budgetary, resource and scheduling requirements against defined project milestones and deadlines. Be the voice of the customer, ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of our content efforts and help our team iterate and improve on our content offering. Travel up to 70%, domestic and regionally, and sometimes on short notice., Basic Qualifications 10+ years of experience negotiating, coordinating, and deploying career and technical education programs in public or private education systems at a state or national level in partnership with industry providers, vendors, and/or employers Proven experience in working with IT industry training programs and certification offerings, and related workforce readiness projects or initiatives Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to write complex business documents. Excellent relationship management skills, with established experience at a senior management or CXO level Ability to operate independently, manage and design programs and projects in a highly ambiguous and complex environment. Experience across functional and technical areas designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining large scale projects.
