A successful candidate will also be hands as they will manage a small agile team. This role will be responsible managing accounting projects and supporting the business through analysis, design, development, planning, testing and implementation of enhancements to existing and new systems. The position will leverage Oracle technology to enhance accounting process and/or develop new processes for an everchanging business. This position will work closely with accounting team to understand current procedures and recommend solutions to steam-line processes. It will also work closely with internal and external developers in the design, development, testing and implementation of requirements and knowledge transfer. This position will interact with support for both IT and business users at local, regional and enterprise levels.Responsibilities Manage financials systems team Prioritize and manages projects for account organization Support corporate projects, system upgrades and strategies This is a manager role, but successful candidate will also need to be hands on Responsible for the functional life cycle of projects, included but not limited to:o Management,o Design,o Development,o Implementation, o Training, and o Documentation. Analyze requirements and develop solutions for financial systems Work with business users to set the scope and requirements for new projects Identify and recommend alternative methods and technologies to meet business needs Develop test plans based on requirements and technical specifications Create and maintain service level agreements Conduct requirements walk through to obtain an understanding and approval Act as a point of contact for escalation of problems and issues Configure Oracle Applications Implement New Oracle Applications Provides recommendations for development, improvement or simplification as necessary Other duties as designed.General Activities Exceptional communicator Manage small technical team Highly analytical, detailed thinker with strong technical skills Technical and functional knowledge of all Oracle Financial ERP modules System trouble-shooting Strong verbal and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills. Comfortable working key users throughout the organization Strong work ethic, ability to work flexible hours Team player, draws energy and drive in working with others Ability to work with teams located at various locations Ability to work with Oracle support Schedule/deadline oriented & excellent organization skills.Experience Previous manager experience Strong Accounting knowledge Experience with Oracle Financials Configuration R12 Strong analytical, listening, interpersonal and problem-solving skills Excellent customer relationship management and delivery skills Understanding of technology/concepts and its applications to business processes Result and value driven (solution must add value to the business) Effective and concise written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working with and using computer technology Ability to understand and develop SQL Plus queries is a plus Familiar with Microsoft tools to document business requirements and processes- MS Word, Excel, Visio and Power Point Experience with Oracle Financials Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems or related field.
