70 tactical buyers are supporting both commercial and NTO towers out of Prague NGSC, covering region Europe, Switzerland, Middle East and North Africa.Your responsibilities include but not limited to : Provide the units (Pharma, Onco, Sandoz, NIBR, GDD and CTS) with dashboards for prescriptive, advanced, predictive analytics and data mining as well as ad-hoc analytics for monthly meetings with CEO / CFO Bring in external data for internal and external benchmarking, in combination with the analytics this will support smarter and informed investment decisions which leads to savings opportunities (contributing to the $500m to $800m annual productivity target on 3rd party spend) Lead the business analytics team which is the interface between the procurement categories, finance, business and data science to deliver insights and enable data driven decision making Build the analytics team capabilities with various initiatives like knowledge sharing, training, coaching and on-boarding Be the first point of contact for procurement stakeholders for all their analytics requirements Provide strategic direction to the business analytics team Accountable for interaction with the global tower leads, global category leads, unit BPAs and global head BPAs to understand the business need and to provide data driven answers and insights Partner with Data Scientists and Analytics Engineers Team to build analytical solutions, in doing so this will not only enhance the analytical tool but also enables the scientists and engineers to become a trusted partner and a successful enabler of technology for the entire enterpriseEEO Statement Novartis is committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve.Minimum requirements Graduation/Post Graduation in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering or Quantitative streams Experience (10+ years) in analytics, experience in pharma industry, procurement domain and or financial planning and analysis desirable Strong analytical thinking with problem solving approach Should have good ability to understand new data sources in short timeframe and embed them into standard analyses Good understanding of pharmaceutical domain and data would be idealWhy Novartis 769 million lives were touched by Novartis medicines in 2020, and while we re proud of this, we know there is so much more we could do to help improve and extend people s lives.We believe new insights, perspectives and ground-breaking solutions can be found at the intersection of medical science and digital innovation.
