You ll work in a stable, resilient and secure operating environment where you and the products you deliver will thrive.As a Infrastructure Engineer the candidates will work in a team environment to provide middleware administration & should have working knowhow of the applications on AIX and Linux infrastructures. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the installation, configuration, build and on going maintenance of development, QA, and Production infrastructures/environments. Scripting the installations, upgrades, replication of environments, advocating on the design, operating models in cloud to partners, is a primary role in this position. Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting application issues with these products is required. You must be able to work individually in a team environment and be an SME to guide or advise our customers. Candidate will be part of a team which will support production environments in a 24/7 mode.The candidate will be interacting with NA team to provide status updates and help maintain the applications that the team manages.Duties and Responsibilities: Environment Support of 24/7 along with NA team Build, create, and modify web based applications server configuration on Tomcat, WebSphere, Apache & IHS. Create practice and maintain standard installation and setup procedures for various applications. Help Update documentation for Run The Engine Functions. Troubleshoot & Participate on priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems. Collaborate to recommend best practices and tune software during the development cycle. Recommend and maintain standards for monitoring,event management and build/adopt self-healing, resiliency patterns. Maintain and facilitate standard backup procedures, retention plans, and restore testing. Assess impact on performance with different changes and review scalability of the infrastructure. Mentors other junior team members. Be part of the 24x7 support coverage as needed.Skills Required: Computer Science degree or equivalent experience. 6-10 years of proven experience in middleware administration and below would be given preference 1. IBM Websphere Application Server 7.x, 8.x, 9.x 2. Apache Web Server / Tomcat 3. IBM HTTP Server Able to work on multiple large projects that have business impact, and is self-initiated. Should be able to provide supporting data or communicate business value of the projects. Proficient in managing service-level changes to a system, and troubleshooting system level components. Proficient in at least two or more software languages (e.g. Python, Ansible, Java, etc.) with respect to designing, coding, testing , and software delivery Experience with redundancy and resiliency applied to create a high availability services. Experience or awareness of SRE principles, Cloud or IAC along with developmental skills is a plus Certificate in cloud computing a plus Strong interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
