Job Description

    Job summaryThis is a role for EU Compliance team. VISA and EPR are one of the fast expanding programs within Amazon and is envisioned to grow in to complete Compliance program. In this role, you have to be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail and passion for data, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. You will be on ground interacting with our Seller partners (SPs) and managing a team of Operations associates who are helping SPs to be compliant while Selling in EU marketplace. Its a big ask, and were excited to talk to those up to the challenge! Key job responsibilitiesManaging team of Operations associates and driving their performance metrics, defining goals & career growth.Designing and implementing self-service reporting solutions that enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisionsRe-actively and proactively developing and executing strategic analyses that provide important insight into the businessMonitoring existing metrics and partnering with internal teams to identify process and system improvement opportunities.Engaging Sellers over call and email to help them with their Queries.SQL Knowledge is preferred. Retrieving and analyzing data using SQL, Excel, and other data management systemsA day in the lifeThe role supports one of the critical functions. In this, you will need to work with cross functional teams varying from program, product, marketing and tech to build strategies driving process and system improvement opportunities.About the teamVAT Services on Amazon and Extended Producer Responsibility are compliance solution that allows Selling partners to manage their VAT and EPR registration and filing obligations online through Amazon Seller Central. It enables Selling Partners to spend more time expanding their business across Europe by handling VAT compliance more easily, timely and efficiently.We work with different tax partners (VISA) and Service providers (EPR) who verify and coordinate with tax authority to get the VAT registration number and help Sellers with their filings.,
    • 2+ years experience in program or project management
    • 2+ years of people management experience.
    • Experience leading process improvements
    Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Math, or related discipline.3+ years of experience in Operations management role is required with 1+ year of people management,Zeal to call sellers who are the backbone of Amazons business and support them during on-boarding into the program SQL Knowledge and Hands-on experience is a must. Demonstrated Analytical ability, results-oriented environment with external customer interaction.Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly.Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment. Experience with E-Commerce, Retail and Business Analytics would be an advantage.Understanding of data warehousing, data modeling concept and building new DW tablesBasic SQL skills, R and/or Python, advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and analytical platformsHighly proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows based applications.
