Job Description

IntroductionAs a Strategy Consultant at IBM, you will help reinvent businesses and industries by developing and utilizing specialized knowledge of industry-specific and cross-industry competitive strategies. Youll manage complex components of an engagement, working closely with clients and their customers to understand their pain points. Your strategic recommendations will drive change in a digitally-enabled era and give you the opportunity to collaborate with highly talented IBMers. Are you ready Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Business Analyst, you will:

  • Analyse and summarize complex business requirements.
  • Gather and synthesis intelligence and data from diverse sources
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • The role will require a significant amount of written documentation so you must be able to convey complex technical concepts in a concise and lucid manner.
  • Evaluate and transform information into fit for purpose solutions
  • Produce documentation and specifications for solutions
  • Understand systems and services
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 8-10 years experience as a Business Analyst preferably in a Banking domain, managing partner expectations as per prescribed service level agreements
  • Ability to understand, interpret & assist in defining customer requirements.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, including SQL data queries and data interrogation along with data modelling.
  • Experience in extracting, transforming and loading data from multiple sources such as Teradata and Hive into QlikView applications
  • Proven experience in writing SQL queries in Teradata and Hive/Impala
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and project management techniques
  • Proficient in developing reports in QlikView.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
