SQA Engineer Business Intelligence

Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for verifying and automating testing of BI projects serviced for different departments: Development, IT, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing and Finance.Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyze and discuss the requirements for BI reports, derive test cases from them
• Execute manual and automated test cases Maintain and improve Auto test framework
• Work with bugs throughout their lifecycle
• Responsible for Cross functional testing involving different groups including IT and Finance users
• Gain exposure to multiple domains such as Sales, Marketing, Clinical and Finance
• Have the ability to understand Data structure and Data flows between various systems
• Given the opportunity to improve many internal processes via automation, implementation of corporate-wide standards in software versioning and deployment.
• Work closely with software developers, your peers in SQA, Project managers, and a diverse group of cross-functional teams including software, I.T., and Finance
• Work with local and off shore teams
• Analyze project documents in order to prepare effective test plans and test cases
• Troubleshoot and quickly come up with solutions related to Data integrity between various applications in the Technology stack
• Balance team and individual responsibilities and go the extra mile to accomplish team goals
• Meet commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles change, sets personal standards, and stays focused under pressure
• Tackles problems and takes independent action, seeks out new responsibilities, acts on opportunities, generates new ideas, and practices self-development

Eligibility

• Experience in testing or software/reporting development 3+ years
• Understanding data flow across Data Warehousing, Business Warehouse, Reporting, OLAP cubes, ETL, Datalakes is desired
• Experience with cloud based system (Azure, AWS) is preferable
• Knowledge of message queues (example Kafka, event log)
• Knowledge of Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI), MDX&DAX expressions is highly desired
• Experience in test automation and API testing is a plus
• Knowledge of Salesforce and SOQL based scripting is a plus
• Well versed with MS Excel (pivots, external data sources, formulas)
• Programming experience C# / Python / JavaScript 1+ years
• Experience working in agile, cross functional teams and onsite/offshore model is nice to have
• English upper-intermediate (written and spoken) with BS/MS degree in Technical sphere preferred
