STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEERWe are seeking an experienced Civil Structural engineer with the Experience of on shore OR offshore projects. You will be under the Structural design team; designing the Steel, RCC & Precast structures related to Oil & Gas, Power, Building Service & Plant engineering in accordance with applicable standards and contract requirements, using relevant Design software like Staad. Pro/Etabs/SACS using AISC/EN/BS codes and detailing using AutoCAD/ Tekla structure / Revit Structure.Experience: 3yearsLocation: HyderabadDegree: Diploma/B.E. /B. Tech CivilJob description
• Responsible for undertaking detail engineering activities including provide input during all design phases and design reviews in accordance with appropriate technical standards and specifications associated with the project. Should work as lead discipline engineer for specific projects, managing discipline design teams of designers and engineers.
• Actively communicate with other disciplines to optimize areas of interface, during the design development, review and check process, client Interaction and Participate in lead, discipline design reviews & Milestone Meetings.
• Prepares the list of deliverables based on SOW and estimates the man hours.
• Experience in Development of Civil & Structural drawings, plot plan, Preparation of calculation documents.
• Preparation of Tender Documents & Estimate BOQ for various Civil &Structural items for Tender purpose.
• Knowledge of international codes & standards such as API/DNV/ AISC/BS codes are Essential.
• Deep Knowledge and Experience in Structural Analysis using Staad Pro software.
• Perform design calculation for Foundation, civil and structural works.
• Conduct periodic project site visits required to complete the project.
• Design and detailing of Pipe supports, HVAC Supports, Fan & duct supporting structures.
• RCC & Steel Shop fabrication drawing detailed verification.
• Pipe Racks, Platforms, Skid, Monorails and Crane Supports Structures, Fixed & Floating Platforms, Canopies, Substations design & detailing.
• Design & detailing for Steel Piles, Equipment/Machine Foundation, Retaining Wall, Storage Tank, warehouses etc.,
• Design & detailing of Precast structural elements like bridges, Staircase, Manhole, Jacking pipes etc.,
• Knowledges on Pre-Engineering Building Structures & Cold formed structures design & detailing.
• Knowledges on Pre-bid material take off list.
• Able to create civil design basis during FEED stage as well as during detail engineering stage.
• Ability to manage Civil, Structural and architectural functions & other Inter disciplinary interaction.
• Experience with Connection softwares like Idea-Statica/Ram connection.
• Run structural analysis for new platform/ platform modification.
• Minor modifications design.
• Manage structural engineering design and any design changes within budget and schedule.
• Promote cost reduction and productivity enhancing initiatives.
• Technical supervision of project designated structural designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duties.
• Benchmark structural design/drafting to identify areas of improvements.
• The role mandates previous experience in minimum facility platform design and including the substructure, topsides and bridges.
• A comprehensive understanding of structural analysis in the areas of dynamic loading and resistance, collapse analysis, spectral fatigue analysis, fire and explosion design, reliability-based analysis, dropped object etc. is essential Conversant with
Candidate profile
• Good Communication.
• Degree in Civil Engineering B.tech/M.tech with 3 years experience in Building services/Oil & gas industries as a Senior Design engineer.
• To lead a team of designers and junior engineers.
• Extensive knowledge in Gulf countries codal regulation.
• Software known: Pro/Etabs/SACS/Robot/Ansys using AISC/EN/BS codes and detailing using AutoCAD/Tekla structure /Revit Structure.
