New roles dedicated to innovation continue to be created to focus on breakthrough opportunities.Contribute to or support aspects of planning, design, development, and delivery of system solutions for a specific business or technology area, in alignment with design and architectural standards and business requirements. Capture, qualify and help prioritize new IT demand and ensure IT services provided to business are meeting service quality standards as per agreed SLAsYour responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Identify and qualify new demand with overall responsibility for steering proposals through the early phases of approval; participate in establishment of budgets and investment proposals and acquire sponsorship and funding.- Ensure the introduction of new / modified services happens in a planned, controlled, and timely manner to minimize disruption and maximize benefit.- Create the detailed IT solution/service design, based on functional specifications.- Develop, build, configure, customize and unit test solutions based on the functional and technical specifications to meet quality and performance requirements and technical constraints.- Hold complete accountability for business processes, integrate services horizontally across organizational units, and handle interfaces between Service Delivery projects.- Build the detailed process and technical designs vital to operate the software/service on a day-to-day basis and ensure designs produced adhere to architectural roadmap and support the development, execution, and operations of software/service- Represent IT to the business or IT groups receiving services, ensuring that expectations for IT services are met. Peer review and sign off detailed designs by business.- Ensure that detailed designs adhere to solution architecture design (i.e. high-level conceptual design) and are traceable to functional as well as non-functional requirements in functional specification- Ensure the overall user experience is considered when designing new solutions and services and take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Service Delivery scopeMinimum requirements What you ll bring to the role:- Graduation/ Post-Graduation in the relevant domain- Overall 10+ years of experience out of which at least 6+ years of strong experience in analyzing business processes, architecting, designing, developing and/or integrating Commercial off-the-shelf products, specifically Oracle Argus Safety- Hand-on experience in developing and maintaining SQL/PL-SQL scripts and Java, .Net would be a plus- Self-starter working independently with ability to collaborate effectively in a highly matrixed and multi-cultural environment, taking full accountability of end results- Experience in highly regulated environments, ideally Drug Development within the Pharma industry, including Computer System Validation.- Consistent track record of broad industry experience and solid grasp of complex enterprise IT landscapes and relationships- Experience in advising peers and senior stakeholders on complex issues and provide complex, contextual guidance to influence actions of internal and/or external partnersWhy consider Novartis 769 million lives were touched by Novartis medicines in 2020, and while we re proud of this, we know there is so much more we could do to help improve and extend people s lives.We believe new insights, perspectives and ground-breaking solutions can be found at the intersection of medical science and digital innovation.
