Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities- Executing the process of engineering commitments in accordance with scope, schedule, budget and procedures to ensure successful project completion.- Technical review of tender specifications and layout drawings.- To ensure product compliance to standards and customer specifications.- Familiar and knowledge of codes/standards i.e., AWWA-561/62/63; IS-4622/23; IS-5620; IS-9349; BS-7775 and ETL-584, AISC latest edition, IS-800/808; ACI-314 etc.,- To discuss deviations in the specification with marketing department.- To carry out design calculations and analysis for given performance parameters- Check and approve drawings and revisions.- Check and approve Bill of Materials- Maintaining good working relationships with the internal stakeholders, including the management team, and clients.- Being an active participant in technical design reviews and calculation checks.- Establishing and implementing improvements to existing methods, procedures and tool sets.- Measurement, monitoring and improvement of functional and individual performance based on KPI- Develop systems for tracking submittals, approvals, manufacturing drawings and bill of material issue against orders and report the progress to manager- Analysis of site issues and resolutionDesired Candidate Profile Skill set requirements - Experience with mechanical design work and knowledge in manufacturing processes- Ability to read and interpret blue print documents- Knowledge and experience with utilization of Mathcad/CAD/3-D Modeling Software- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel- Good sketching and concept generation skills- Ability to understand complex mathematical relationships that underpin mechanical analysis Qualification requirements - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from recognized institution.- CAD (3D and 2D) and SAP/ERP system working knowledge- Previous experience with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint Experience - A minimum of 10-12 years of professional experience of working in an organization designing and manufacturing fabricated water control gates, and at least 6-8 years of relevant experience in the following:
    • Design of gates and mechanical operating systems including (roller gates, radial gates, crest gates and stoplogs.)
    • Experience of new product introduction and product development.
    • Experience with SAP/ERP system working will be considered an asset.
    - Experience with hoist design (wire rope hoists, hydraulic hoists, gantry cranes),- Proficiency with Computer Design Tools (Mathcad, Solidworks, Draft sight) will be considered an asset- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) programs- Good experience in the preparation of reports and specifications is required- Strong client focus and a desire to achieve results including the ability to manage multiple priorities and time linesSite and commissioning experience will be considered an asset,
