Our talented people empower us, and we believe in being part of a team that is open, collaborative, entrepreneurial, passionate and above all fun.About the teamOperating core-banking for one of the world s largest payment processors requires diligence and experience designing and running highly available, highly scalable systems in production.Worldpay is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to help join a new SRE function within giving you the chance to shape best practices as we migrate our core acquiring platform to a cloud based micro-services architecture.What you will be doingYou will join our engineering team and work with other key technical teams on the implementation and operability of our applications and take a lead in the development of world class software systems.You will work with engineering teams based in London, Bucharest and India to design, deploy, maintain Worldpay services, troubleshoot software and infrastructure issues, consult and innovate on core platform design and architecture, and help coordinate incident response.

  • Perform design, infrastructure, and process reviews to help engineering teams in shipping reliable systems.
  • Advocate for and apply best practices when it comes to availability, scalability, operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Ruthlessly automate, improve and evolve our systems.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and remediate platform issues and alerts.
  • Engage with engineering team on-calls, helping to debug, improve, and optimize critical services.
Technical Developer Role:Key Purpose of the Role:This position is expected to develop Financial web applications using Angular and Java. The person in this role may assist with the preparation of detailed specifications from which programs will be written, and will be responsible for the technical design, development, documentation, testing, implementation and support of extensions and sustainment of the Financial Application. The Person will help in maintaining current eBusiness FAH Application (mainly in PLSQL) and upgrading it to Java web application using Angular and Java.Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical delivery of a web application development project involving Angular, Full stack Java development.
  • Designing and developing user interfaces using Angular best practices.
  • Application development using Java as a primary programming language. Developing application codes and unit tests in Angular, Java Technologies, and Rest Web Services.
  • Integration of frontend with backend APIs, Third Party APIs and Oracle database.
  • Responsible for development and support of Web Application - Design, Coding, Unit Testing and other SDLC activities.
  • Requirement gathering and understanding, Analyse and convert functional requirements into concrete technical tasks and able to provide reasonable effort estimates.
  • Work proactively, independently and with global teams to address project requirements, and articulate issues/challenges with enough lead time to address project delivery risks.
  • Providing expertise in technical analysis and solving technical issues during project delivery
  • Work closely with the business and others in IT to develop new solutions and extend the functionality of Financial Application.
  • Troubleshoot issues to find the root cause and provide technical solutions.
Experience: Full stack Developer - Java and Angular with knowledge on SQL and PLSQL.Skills and Abilities:Essential
  • Strong knowledge of Java, SQL & PL/SQL.
  • Knowledge of Angular, HTML and Java Scripts.
  • Experience in creating Kafka Components.
  • Experience in Spring Frameworks (Spring4, Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
  • Experience of REST API integration.
  • Strong expertise with HTML, CSS, and writing cross-browser compatible code.
  • Should possess strong problem solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
