Job Description

Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager Cash & Collections We are looking for a Cash/ Collections expert who would be responsible for managing all collection and dispute resolution activities in accounts receivable and related settlement processes. In this role, you will be expected to work on strict deadlines, in a fairly high-pressure business environment while being a good team player and should have led a team size of ~10 to 15 people. Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for all the activities related to Cash & Collection domain:
    • Identifying payments coming through checks, wires/ACH etc. to the correct client/payor account and allocating payment to the correct policy/invoice
    • Daily volume reconciliation with Bank & other application systems and reporting differences to the client
    • Constantly interacting with clients for their feedback and support them wherever required
    • Ability to communicate and explain changes / corrections required to other departments in the organization
    • Follow up with other areas on above corrections etc.
    • Review open AR listing daily and apply cash receipts
    • Prepare weekly AR reports for business team leads and department management
    • Address payment issues like double payments or other discrepancies
    • Collect the delinquent amount from the customer or take promises from them on making the payment
    • Follow up on customer/internal disputes, customer questions and working between departments to get a resolution
    • Provide payment plans basis customer requirement
    Qualifications Minimum qualifications
    • B.Com graduation
    • Relevant work experience
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities within strict time constraints
    • Ability to successfully interact (verbal / written) with other departments and with US SME s
    • Good command over English Language (written & oral)
    Preferred qualifications
    • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
    • Accounting - Knowledge of insurance accounting and close process
    • Microsoft Excel Capabilities Ability to use MS Excel to a level of expertise required for the role
    • Ability to quickly understand Core systems, general business and process
    • Adaptability - Ability to re-direct personal efforts in response to changing circumstances
    • Problem Solving - Ability to solve problems by analyzing situations and applying critical thinking in order to decide on courses of action and implement the solutions developed in order to overcome problems and constraints
    • Attention to Detail - Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved
    • Communication - Communicates effectively in a manner appropriate for the role
    • Critical Thinking - Analyzes facts to understand a problem or topic thoroughly
