Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities
    • Proven experience as safety officer/executive /manager
    • In depth knowledge of applicable legislation (e.g. Factories Act, Licensing, PESO Rules, NBC, NEPA Fire Licensing, MoEF, CPCB, PCB, IE Rules) and procedures.
    • Knowledge of potentially hazardous Chemicals / Materials or practices
    • Experience in writing reports and for health and safety
    • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
    • Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems.
    • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
    • External Liaisoning Capabilities.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain.
    • In-depth Knowledge in Fire Safety management, equipment selections and implementing the same in ground.
    • Providing periodical safety training to all employees.
    • Looking after the contractor safety management system.
    • Plan and implement EMS and OHSAS policies and programs as per corporate requirements.
    • Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics
    • Arrange different safety competition among employees on the occasion of NSD or WED etc.
    • Prepare educational seminars and webinars on a regular basis for all categories of employees.
    • Adhere to and to arrange all the applicable, licenses, approvals, rules and regulations as per company need and requirement.
    • To work with HR to set up new employee on-boarding process for safety induction.
    • Conduct periodical risk assessment, HAZOP for all new sites and existing sites as well towards expansions.
    • Enforce corrective and preventative measures for ensuing human safety, Process Safety, Fire Safety.
    • Identify process safety bottlenecks and offer solutions
    • Check if all the employees are acting in adherence with health and safety SOPs, rules and regulations.
    • To audit and inspect the manufacturing locations, Depots and Sales points and Offices at set interval and ensure implementation of CAPA as appropriate.
    • Prepare and present reports on nearmiss, incidents, accidents and violations and determine causes therein.
    • Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees and site safety.
    Desired Candidate ProfileThe candidate must have a minimum 5 years of mandatory experience in chemical industries.BE or Degree in Engineering ( Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) with PG Diploma in Safety.,
