You will play an integral role in valuation and transactions services provided to PwC audited companiesSpecific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Participating in a wide range of projects and collaborating across multiple work streams or teams; consistently demonstrating creative thinking, individual initiative and timely completion of assigned work
  • Consistently demonstrating teamwork dynamics by working as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback
  • Ability to prepare deliverables within stringent deadlines
  • Keep up to date with local, national and international business and economic issues
  • Contribute to the development of your own and team s technical acumen.
  • Serve as participant on communications with numerous Engagement teams
A career in this practice will provide you the opportunity to help organizations realize the potential of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and capital markets. You will have the opportunity to specialize in some of the following:
  • Application of relevant accounting standards to structure finance, real estate valuation, equity and other fixed income valuations
  • Analysing third party valuations by challenging assumptions and performing sensitivity analysis
  • You are expected to help PwC Audited companies with a range of valuation of businesses entities, tangible assets - both Real Property (land, buildings, leases) and Personal Property (machinery, equipment, leasehold improvements, computers, software, furniture & Fixtures, etc.), intangible assets including impairment assessment
  • Financial Statement valuation which includes Purchase Price Allocation ( PPA ), Impairment Testing
  • Conducting market pricing and analytics including preparing documentation and findings to management with respect to fixed income securities and structured transactions
  • Projecting and modelling collateral and bond cash flow for asset backed securities, mortgage backed securities, and collateral debt obligations
  • Designing financial models using the discounted cash flow method, guideline public company or transaction method, or option pricing analysis
Requirements:
  • Bachelor in Finance/Accounting/Economics with focus on valuation methods (B.Com, B.Sc. with Economics Hons) along with following certifications:
    • CFA (US) or CA Mandatory
    • MBA (Finance)
    • FRM
  • Work Experience ranges as below:
    • 0 to 3 years for CA / CFA (US)
  • Work Experience from following organisations:
    • Big 4s similar experience
    • Financial Services Companies / Investment Banks Barclays, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Wells Fargo, Macquarie, Standard Chartered, Nomura, Citigroup, HSBC, Karvy Financial Services Company, Merrill Lynch, UBS, Bank of America, Fidelity Investments, Blackrock, TIAA
    • Consulting Firms: Accenture, McKinsey & Co., Duff & Phelps
  • Advance knowledge on Microsoft Office specially Excel
  • Certificate courses on Valuations is preferable
  • An additional knowledge of either of the following would be preferred:
    • Data Analytics - Python / R / SAS
    • Data Transformation Alteryx
    • VBA programming
    • Visualization Tools - Tableau / PowerBI
    • RPA - UI Path
  • Good understanding of corporate financial statements and various types of securities
  • Proficient written and verbal English communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous training and to proactively learn new processes
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and a desire to take responsibility for personal growth and development
