You will play an integral role in Financial Products Consulting and Accounting Advisory services provided to PwC clientsSpecific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Participating in a wide range of projects and collaborating across multiple work streams or teams; consistently demonstrating creative thinking, individual initiative and timely completion of assigned work

A career in this practice will provide you the opportunity to help organizations realize the potential of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and capital markets. You will have the opportunity to specialize in some of the following:
  • Application of relevant accounting, tax and regulatory standards to complex financial instruments
  • Applying accounting treatments of financial products and securitizations held by financial institutions, including familiarity with regulatory requirements related to securitization
  • Performing analyses, research, and documenting complex and emerging accounting, regulatory and financial reporting topics
  • Advising multinational, publicly-traded companies and private firms on a broad range of complex transactions involving technical accounting, financial reporting, operational policies, processes and procedures.
  • Performing fair value assessments, foreign currency matters, financing transactions and convertible securities, and/or derivatives and hedging
  • Creating independent financial models to project collateral and bond cash-flows for various debt types and related securitizations, including asset backed securities, mortgage backed securities, and collateralized loan obligations.
  • Analyzing the impact of the LIBOR transition on financial models, transaction systems, contract terms and conditions, and accounting and tax policies.
  • Understanding the potential extent of value transfer as a result of transitioning from LIBOR to an alternative rate
  • Bachelor in Finance/Accounting/Economics with focus on accounting and valuation methods (B.Com, B.Sc. with Economics Hons) along with following certifications:
    • CFA (US) or CA Mandatory
    • CPA
  • Work Experience ranges as below:
    • 3 to 5 years
  • Work Experience from following organisations:
    • Big 4s similar experience
    • Financial Services Companies / Investment Banks Barclays, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Wells Fargo, Macquarie, Standard Chartered, Nomura, Citigroup, HSBC, Karvy Financial Services Company, Merrill Lynch, UBS, Bank of America, Fidelity Investments, Blackrock, TIAA
    • Consulting Firms: Accenture, McKinsey & Co., IBM
  • Advance knowledge on Microsoft Office especially Excel
  • Certificate courses on Valuations, Management Information Systems & Accounting and Accounting & Finance are preferable
  • An additional knowledge of either of the following would be preferred:
    • Data Analytics - Python / R / SAS
    • Data Transformation Alteryx
    • VBA programming
    • Visualization Tools - Tableau / Qlikview
    • RPA - UI Path
    • Bloomberg, CapIQ,
  • Good understanding of corporate financial statements and various types of securities
  • Proficient written and verbal English communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous training and to proactively learn new processes
