Drive efficiencies to execute latest strategies of AWS and Azure to save cost. Execute cost initiatives around the choice of the Cloud w/ scale up / scale down on Hybrid Cloud strategies (AWS, Azure). Primary Responsibilities As a Cloud FinOps domain expert, you are responsible for developing and implementing a robust program for cloud cost management that helps BMC to optimize/control the Cloud Costs in a fast-paced/changing environment. Responsibilities include cloud services rates settings, and defining consumption and show-back/charge-back reports. In addition to that, you will be responsible for the following activities:
• Serve as the trusted finance advisor to the SaaS Ops business group
• Create Cloud cost optimization/ Cloud Cost Control methodologies
• Define robust cost management practices in the Public Cloud for AWS and Azure
• Recommend potential options for cost optimization post validation of AWS / Azure financial reports
• Develop and track cloud infrastructure capacity and demand forecasts
• Create cloud cost performance KPIs and measure the KPI s performance
• Engage and collaborate with SaaS ops leaders and develop business partner relationships
• Support SaaS infrastructure costs FY Planning and Forecasts
• Support business functions such as data center operations, SaaS operations or cloud provider infrastructures
• Consolidate, prioritize and communicate implications of internal decisions
• Drive enhancement of functional policies, procedures and business practices that improve efficiency and transparency within the function
• Communication of results and recommendations to management and the business supporting complex data management, analysis, and interpretation
• Helping business clients understand the financial impact of their business decisions with accompanying analytics
• Supporting as subject matter expert for product finance data and reporting for cross functional business partners
• Assist with ad-hoc analysis and data mining efforts, whenever required
• Recommend and implement process improvements using technical solutions
• Cross Train team members
Required Qualifications/ Skills
• Bachelors degree required (with MBA preferred) in Finance or Accounting concentration, with at least 8 years experience in a Public Cloud Costs Optimization/Cost Control in a Business Finance (FP&A) related role
• Strong analytical, budgeting and forecasting skills around Cloud Infrastructure costs
• Excellent communication and presentations skills
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint Skills, Data Modelling Skills
• Hands on experience on OneStream/Hyperion Essbase
• Preferred: Experience on SaaS infrastructure costs management, AWS cost optimization including the use of AWS cost management tools
• Tableau and Micro-Strategy knowledge preferred
• Experience on Zero Based Budgeting (ZBB) preferred
• Background in information technology and/or software is a plus
• Business partnering and relationship management skills
• In depth understanding of core Finance business processes to ensure timely delivery of financial results as per the expected cadence

• Uses logic and work experience to solve complex problems in an effective way
• Ability to work directly with business user and IT counterparts
• AWS/FinOps certification preferred
