Job Description

    Requirements and skills
    • Proven hands-on network engineering experience 4-6 years
    • CCNA orJNCIA-Junosor higher certification / training is preferred but not mandatory
    • Knowledge and certification of network security would be an asset
    • Deep understanding of networking protocols (IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, RSTP, QoS)
    • Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
    • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
    • University degree in Science along with relevant certification
    Network Engineer responsibilities include:
    1. Configure and install various network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, OLTs etc)
    2. Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
    3. Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
    4. Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
    5. Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
    6. Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
    7. Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the companys security team
    8. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
