By focusing on the specific needs of each industry, the Mechanical Power Transmission (MOPT) Division has developed innovative solutions and advanced technologies that improve output, increase uptime, and enhance system value in even the most challenging environments.This is Sales Specialist, reporting to the Cluster Sales Head in Business Area Motion located in Kolkata. You will be responsible for sales as determined by our customers, marketers, designers, manufacturers and service providers of industrial electric motors, generators, and mechanical power transmission products.Your responsibilities

  • Ensuring achievement of order intake and sales volume in line with business requirement.
  • Creating product awareness and brand visibility, recalling through technical presentations and seminars.
  • Conducting technical specification review for optimized/ right product offer.
  • Conducting contract reviews & securing necessary amendments to minimum risk exposure to ABB.
  • Implementing marketing plans for augmenting the business volume by enhancing brand visibility & recall.
  • Managing sales and marketing operations thereby achieving increased sales/maximizing profit in assigned division.
  • Identifying prospective clients, generating business from new accounts, and developing them to achieve consistent profitability.
  • Developing relationship with key decision makers in target organizations for business development.
  • Building and maintaining healthy business relations with major clientele, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction by achieving delivery & quality norms.
  • Assessing of customer feedback, evaluating areas of improvements & introducing improvements.
  • Evolving market segmentation & penetration strategies to achieve targets.
  • Living ABB s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background
  • B.E/B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in NEMA / Imported Motor business.
  • Must have knowledge of IEC/NEMA standards.
  • Hands on Experience in handling Consultants, End Users & OEMs in Power, Water, Steel, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Mining, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage etc.
  • Must have experience in handling the original equipment manufacturer (OEMs), channel partner, and consultant.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of West Bengal & North East market Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Orrisa territory.
