Job Description

Role Summary:

Baker Hughes has a new opportunity for Senior Nexus Controls Industrial Sales Manager to join the team in Kolkata, India

Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Nexus Controls Sales Manager, you will:

  • Develop sales strategy for the Nexus Controls product lines, with a focus on growing OnCore sales in the Industrial market
  • Analyze customer trends to develop strategy for new industries or businesses
  • Develop strategy for marketing and communication for identified customer base and region
  • Analyze historical sales data and Industrial market opportunities to identify potential growth
  • Lead the commercial strategy for proposals from customers and coordinate its flow to our internal operations team for proposal development
  • Be responsible for customer account growth including strategy development, planning and execution, product / service opportunities identification, and value communication
  • Be responsible for the identification and growth of new and underperforming accounts including assigned region growth strategies partnering with marketing / demand generation
  • Be responsible for the identification and growth of existing accounts through sale of full portfolio of hardware, software and services
  • Lead / Participate in cross functional teams and projects to achieve account and region goals
  • Lead / Initiate partnerships with other Baker Hughes commercial teams to leverage customer relationships
  • Create a value / consultative / outcome selling strategy through understanding of customers process and business model including associated key drivers
  • Provide feedback to the product line team on customer wants and needs, new product / service needs, product modifications and help them develop sound business cases
  • Learn and lead generation / coordination of Baker Hughes product offerings across all product segments (OFS, OFE, TPS, DS)
  • Participate in the VOC and NPIs as available within the team
  • Interpret and understand contractual commitments

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial support, services and/or engineering experience in an industrial market space
  • Travel up to 50% of time, as required
  • Possess a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
  • To the extent that you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a Baker Hughes-owned / leased or rented vehicle for company business, you must be willing to submit to a check of your driving record

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 8 years of services or engineering work experience in an industrial market space
  • Knowledge of Nexus Controls products, services, and other machinery protection and management systems
  • Knowledge of industry products, services, and markets
  • Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through prior work assignments
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal relationship skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the industrial applications for product lines and markets
  • Experience with and commitment to use CRM
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Proactive work style, creativity, and engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and drive results
  • Understanding of modern maintenance methodologies (PM, PdM, RCM, etc) for plant electrical and mechanical equipment
