Together, we re pioneering the future of science and medicine, developing products that enable researchers in the fight to save lives.The Process Development Scientist will work closely with these teams to drive creation of validation tools and services for our compliance product and services portfolio.This role is located in San Jose or Downingtown, PA and will also consider remote candidates with some additional travelResponsibilities:
• Design and optimize validation/metrology tools (validation plates), associated software calculation templates/protocols, validation tool calibration processes, and services (IQ/PM/OQ/PQ) for compliance product portfolio
  • Assist with pre-launch product validation activities
  • Deliver training and support to global sales teams and other business units as required
• Monitor market developments for the compliance product portfolio, including competitive landscape and technological developments. Stay apprised of technology developments through scientific activities such as key conferences, contact with key opinion leaders, and collaboration.
• Act as customer advocate, identifying pain points and key requirements that will delight regulated customers. Work with product management to prioritize features from the customer s point of view.
• Partner with regulated customers to develop transition plans including equivalence testing and assay acquisition and analysis protocols
• Produce marketing literature to support worldwide sales, field application scientists, and regulated customers. This includes application notes, posters, technical notes, and scientific publications, as well as giving technical presentations to customers and at scientific meetings/seminars, and online webinars.
Qualifications:
• 8+ years of research/applications experience
• Market, customer and technology/industry experience
• Advanced degree in Life Science, Biology or related subject with hands-on knowledge of metrology, calibration, validation and performance testing of life science instrumentation
• 10+ years experience working under or supporting customers ISO 17025, GxPs, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, USP 1058 and other relevant pharmaceutical industry regulations and guidance
• Self-motivated and professional with a flexible attitude
• Highly organized with ability to coordinate multiple priorities within demanding and tight timescales
• Excellent attention to detail, high standards adopted at all times
• Customer Service oriented high sense of urgency
• Excellent written and oral communication on technical topics to a global audience
• Experience with Molecular Devices instruments is a plus.
• 15% travel could be slightly more if a remote employee
