This is your chance to disrupt a multi-billion-dollar industry, change how the world accesses information, and reinvent the way businesses deliver amazing customer experiences.Couchbase is seeking a Senior Product Manager to take on a key role in our products organization focused on product experience and growth.Location: This is a remote role based in the US.Experience building SaaS applications/products is highly desirable Responsibilities
• Define and drive the execution of the Capella Product Experience including UX, docs, APIs and interactive guides/demonstrations, and identifying silent sales opportunities in-product.
• Consolidate requirements across Marketing, Field Engineering, R&D, Dev Advocacy, Technical Writing, and other PMs on the content strategy focusing on key strategic initiatives like Elixir.
• Enable marketing with the visibility and information needed to make the most of our silent sales opportunities, such as panels that encourage a user to upgrade from core to developer pro or developer to enterprise , etc. In addition, we need to express our value within Capella (and in supporting docs, etc.).
• Build a prioritized roadmap and actively manage the backlog
• Partner with UX to execute the user studies built by the UX team by holding joint user sessions, ensuring users are enabled to perform the research, collect and analyze results, and present findings to the team.
• Conduct user interviews, and usability studies, and develop a user research roadmap with prioritized deliverables
• Create and analyze dashboards and funnels, analyze signals and watched elements, identify factors impacting conversions, like slow pages, script errors, frustrating workflows, and bugs; identify where users have dead clicked or rage clicked, and identify hot spots.
• Analyze opportunities to improve the user experience and highlight key user sessions to guide the team to action.
• Create detailed features or instrumentation requirements for engineering.
• Work closely with the Education team to understand and plan for in-product (or offline) guided learning paths through modules and projects that help get the user started quickly with Capella
Preferred Qualifications
• BS in Computer Science or related technical field with MS. MBA is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 5-to 7 years in engineering or product management or solutions architecture are highly desired
• Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and cloud technologies.
• Specific experience with IaaS (AWS, GCP, Azure), PaaS (Heroku, Cloud Foundry), container frameworks (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and modern web and application development concepts & technologies
• Prior knowledge, experience in designing UX and customer experiences
• Experience in PaaS or SaaS product management a plus
