Job Description

VP (Head) - Procurement & Supply Chain (Chemicals)- Responsibilities include forecasting, planning, and scheduling of production at two manufacturing facilities: inventory control and procurement of Chemicals (RM) for Plant and Trading of finished products (traded material / Job Work).- Develop and implement strategy and solutions for buying strategy for chemicals business across all Cos businesses and sites.- Lead sourcing efforts to identify reliable sources of supply and effectively procure Commodity Chemicals.- Effectively work with cross functional teams to ensure business and technical requirements are captured and facilitate cross functional evaluation of new suppliers.- Develop deep knowledge of key market trends by researching market drivers, analyzing cost structures, understanding technical improvements in industry and evaluating the competitive landscape.- Develop category profiles and strategies.- Leverage on spend opportunities across BUs and regions where possible.- Identify cost saving projects and opportunities.- Lead RFP processes bid analysis and TCO (total cost of ownership) analysis.- Develop negotiation strategies and lead contract negotiations, oversee contract administration and compliance.- Prepare and deliver executive level business updates on strategic sourcing plan that highlights progress toward business objectives and changes in market dynamics.- Support purchasing activities where necessary.- Manage corrective actions for non-conforming materials and services.- Work closely with Operations team to manage supplier related disruptions to timely receipt of goods and services.- Purchasing of Raw materials - Basic Commodity Chemicals from local and international Market and Capital Goods - Logistics: Controlling and Managing Logistic operations for Cross-country Trade. Managing Distribution, Warehousing, Logistics (Import & Exports) at Overseas Locations. Ensure Logistic planning to enhance value to the Business Planning & Timely Executions of Export consignments with Best Transit and Freight cost & as per IMDG & IATA regulations- Demand Planning (short term and long term) - Supervise demand planning, capacity planning, volume allocation and provide inputs for intermediates purchase to materials department.- EXIM & Excise: Statutory Compliance in line with Customs and Excise Rule for EOU and DTA Units. Experience of 15-24 Years in Chemical/Plastic Industry is highly desirable with progressive growth in responsibilities and ownership. 2. Supply Chain, Management, Operations, or another technical disciple is required.3. Demonstrated track record of Continuous Improvement experience and deep domain expertise.4. Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.5. Strategic mindset.6. Industry experience in a Leadership with and Knowledge of strategic sourcing process, market analysis, sourcing category strategy development, supplier relationship management and development of should-cost models.7. Negotiation strategy development and execution experience.8. Leadership and management skills.9. Ability to influence and work in cross functional teams.10. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.11. Proficient in MS Office Suite applications (Excel, Access, Word and Outlook).12. Experience with ERP systems.13. Experience in a Lean or Continuous Improvement Operating system that has been demonstrated over time and in multiple contexts.14.
