Review the work forecasts and determine your productivity requirements to produce during the day to meet the overall building objectives. Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor ensuring that you are operating a balanced and efficient shift while meeting all of your goals. Support all safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates. Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools Key job responsibilitiesYou and your team of warehouse associates are responsible for getting Amazon customers their orders by managing various functions in the fulfillment center operations. You are responsible for ensuring that you have properly trained people, and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs.In addition, one of the most important aspects of your job is to lead change at internet speed. Innovation has made us the global company that we are today. A day in the lifeAs an area manager the expectation is to lead a team up to 250-300 numbers of Process Assistants and AAs , the shift planning and execution of the operations during the shift with constant monitoring and required interventions on Quality and Productivity parameters will be the key role, in addition, daily leadership routines will need to be followed as per schedule, Reports and feedback will need to be shared as per cadence.About the teamA highly motivated team with a high bar on performance and potential, Degree in Engineering from a reputed university 3+ years management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment or successful Internship in Amazon FC Management of a minimum of 15 employees (including payroll, performance management, work-flow assignment) Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple FCs BE/B.Tech EngineeringCandidates with MBA degree from a reputed institution preferredBasic/working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques preferredAdvanced Excel (SQL/VBA) skills preferred
