Job Description

  • Requires 12+ developer experience in IT industry and preferably 5+ years as an architect for a team of software developers and engineers. At least 2 years experience in the banking / payments industry is preferable.
  • Expert on experience with
    • Microservices Architecture and design, REST APIs, cloud development, Security, Testing, and deployments in high throughput environments
    • Java, Kafka, Spring Boot, AWS, EKS(Kubernetes), React, Apigee, Drools
    • DevOps environments with high degree of automation of CI/CD pipelines, build promotions and code quality testing
    • Exposure to using cloud development, Kubernetes, Dockers and Terraform scripting for deployments in development, QA, and Production
    • DB exposure on Cloud infra needs (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle.)
  • Exposure to Tech stack
    • Docker, Terraform, Helm, MySQL, MongoDB, Quartz
    • Tools - k3d, Jenkins, Maven, Git, Sonar, Skaffold, etc.
  • Proficiency in solutions design. Successfully architected and designed enterprise software applications or products.
What you will be doing:
  • Documents and publishes appropriate architecture principles and standards, patterns, and frameworks.
  • Must have led technology direction for multiple projects and led or presented architecture concepts outside realm of immediate workgroup.
  • Demonstrated experience as application development system designer or technical lead on many very large , i.e., 10,000 hours or more spanning more than 6 months projects.
  • Five or more years demonstrated experience in working with relational (and/or hierarchical) databases.
  • Five or more years demonstrated experience in modern software application technologies.
  • Successful design and implementation of applications in a shared service bureau environment
  • Defines, constructs, supports, and provides training for enterprise frameworks.
  • Documents functional product solutions for key FIS product strategy and product management initiatives leveraging defined functional component model libraries and the defined product line architecture roadmap.
  • Maintains a catalogue of reusable functional application components consumable across applications and product lines.
  • Reviews functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements.
  • Acts as tie breaker on design decisions.
  • Communicates system architecture, database designs to technical and business audiences.
