If you have a need for flexibility, then please discuss this with the Hiring Manager.The role is in the Barclays Strategic Solutions Group (SSG) which is part of Barclays Private Bank India. Overall, the analyst supports the Barclays SSG India desk in evaluation, on-boarding, launch, sales support, after sales support and platform support for AIFs and direct investment opportunities.What will you be doing The key accountabilities of the role will be:

  • Assisting with diligence and analysis of Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) and other opportunities, including preparing Investment Due Diligence (IDD) and Operational due Diligence (ODD) reports
  • Assisting with launch and deal closure activities of AIFs and Direct Investment products. This includes coordination internally with legal, compliance, risk and operations teams as well as with the product providers/managers to obtain all necessary signoffs for on-boarding new counterparties, preparing termsheets, finalizing operational processes for each launch. It also includes supporting sales coverage teams with transaction closure procedures.
  • Maintaining the intranet for the direct investments and alternatives products.
  • Post sales product management such as ensuring regular product updates to sales teams and clients. This also includes preparing regular update documents for management forums and preparing research reports on AIFs
  • Liasing with operations, legal, finance and various other internal and external stakeholders for platform activities such as invoicing and process improvements
  • Complying with the internal controls and governance standards for the product platform.
What we re looking for:
  • Experience: Ideally 1 to 4 years in financial services
  • Education: at least an undergraduate qualification in a finance or economics or mathematics or a related field from a recognized and reputed institution and may have undergone professional training on understanding of various financial products.
  • Advanced level of Excel, Powerpoint, Word skills
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Understanding and experience in Alternative investment funds and product diligence, selection and distribution.

  • adaptive and a quick learner, with capability to analyse new ideas, strategies, products, etc.
  • comfortable with making presentations and evaluating financial models.
