Job Description

The prime responsibility of the team is to support Review and Valuations of closely held assets to determine if the asset should be retained or sold. Responsibilities include the issuance of asset reviews, account reviews, and market value estimates for the purpose of informing internal partners and trust beneficiaries regarding a closely held asset s performance, while fulfilling J.P. Morgan s regulatory requirements associated with fiduciary services.The role requires attention to detail, an awareness of the risks involved and an ability to work under pressure and strict adherence to deadlines. Job Responsibility

  • Performing ongoing asset review reporting activities, including financial and operating performance analysis
  • Application of relevant business information in appropriate valuation methodologies and models to derive and support an indication of value
  • Managing a regional selection of assets and acting as the primary interface for the equity and valuation review processes of such assets, while displaying excellent time management and workflow management abilities
  • Researching and writing reports focused on the general economy in addition to various sectors such as banking, real estate, energy, etc.
  • Managing deliverables while servicing all ad hoc queries and requests.
  • Managing all relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to handle and manage change
  • Organizational contribution by taking up a role to support organization wide initiatives
  • Contribute towards other processes within the larger organization during the cyclical phase of low volumes
Job RequirementsMinimum qualifications
  • Strong Academics background
  • CFA/CA would be advantageous
Qualification criteria
  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to understand and interpret of financial statements and tax returns
  • Sound understanding of how to read business fundamentals
  • A thorough understanding of different valuation methodologies
  • Have the ability to work independently and to proactively seek guidance from others as needed
  • Good understanding of financial modeling and excellent financial writing skills
  • Strong team player and has the capacity to build good working relationships with cross functional/geographical teams
  • Result oriented, accepting responsibilities and challenges that take them outside their comfort zone
  • Positive outlook and a desire to stretch themselves to achieve both personal and functional success
  • Partners well with peers, managers and functional partners
  • Domain expertize in one of the major sectors reviewed by the team, including the ability to interpret financials and perform financial analysis
Competencies
  • Knowledge of investment products
  • Knowledge of investment analysis, financial analysis, and accounting
  • Ability to interpret data, financial statements and written information with a view to formulate a story
  • Good numerical and statistical skills
  • Well versed with various software applications of the Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting tax documents (1099, 1065, etc.) will be an added advantage
  • Command over English language and ability to communicate a comprehensive story through crisp writing
