Job Description

    Job Title: Application Technical EngineerLocation: DubaiProduct Profile: Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Switchgear and related ancillary itemsReporting To: Divisional ManagerPRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: To succeed in this role, you should have exceptional communication skills, have an analytical mind and be professional. A sound engineering knowledge in various areas primarily encompassing the below:
    • Sales Execution & Tendering
    Provide the necessary technical support to the external Sales teams for various inquiries from the market Be available for customer inspections to satisfy any queries that may be floated by the customer during inspections You will showcase a hybrid skillset, as you need to have both technical and sales skills, besides general business skills like communication, teamwork and organization. You will be the point man for all technical clarifications from customers. You will lead the tendering process and work with operations in developing delivery solutions for inquiries and tenders as well as work with Design on costing and estimation. You will be governed by an MBO/OKR approach in Management and will be driven by KPIs and targets. Analyse technical schematics and work with customers and Account Managers to suggest compatible product solutions that comply with all project specifications and applicable regulations and where required, provide detailed comments and deviations in areas of non-compliance.
    • Relays: Selection, Configuration and Protection:
    Selection of Protection relay & configuration for the protection philosophy and application Configure, program, and troubleshoot protection and control relays for Switchgear applications. Develop relay logic and protection schemes to ensure system reliability and safety. Assist in relay coordination studies and settings.
    • Technical Training
    Conduct technical presentations, training sessions, and knowledge sharing sessions both internally and externally.Develop the necessary technical knowledge in the Engineering and Purchase departments of the Company, through repeated rounds of technical presentations and precise mentorship, in order to eventually ensure independence within their processes.
    • Management Information System - SAP:
    Achieve an expert SAP user level. Act as a project leader/participant in developing crucial MIS reports exclusively utilising SAP.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
    • Minimum academic requirements would be a Bachelors degree in engineering.
    • At least 3 to 5 years of working in the switchgear manufacturing and/or designing fields.
    • Fluency in English written and verbal.
    • Excellent written and technical presentation skills using data analytical tools.
    • Capability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
    • Highly developed statistical and reporting skills with the ability to analyse, interpret and manage information, data and trends
    • Must be able to work in a team environment.
    • Extensive experience in the application and technical support of MV Switchgear solutions.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including transformers, circuit breakers, and distribution systems.
    • Ability to travel to customer offices and construction sites for on-site support and project implementation
    • Time management ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; highly organized.
    • Problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
    • Expert SAP user and Effective user of ERP systems Highly proficient in MS Office packages including Excel
