Job Description

    * Posting Title: Vendor Risk Manager Officer Rank: Vice President DSIR Team: WM Vendor Risk Hiring Manager: Babu Nayak Cost Center: 7R04 Location: Mumbai, India Job Req: TBD The Data Security and Infrastructure Risk Team sits within the Wealth Management (WM) Risk organization and strives to find the right balance between risk management and business enablement. The team works to ensure that our clients sensitive PII (Personally Identifiable Information) is stored and replicated securely, used properly, and accessed by only authorized individuals and for authorized purposes. The group also helps WM meet or exceed Firm and regulatory standards by applying additional controls in areas such as: Access Management, Business Resilience and Stability, and Vendor Risk. Finally, through client and workforce education and engagement, the team provides resources to help protect our employees and clients from cyber-enabled fraud and data loss. The WM Vendor Risk program works to create an efficient, best-in-class, and cost-effective control environment to reduce the risks associated with third-party data loss and service failure. Role Description The WM Vendor Risk program seeks a Vice President (VP) to support its efforts to ensure all risks are inventoried, measured, and mitigated to the extent possible and in line with the growth of the organization, organically and through acquisitions. This position will report to the WM Vendor Risk Specialist based in New York. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Act as a local lead and liaise with the North America-based WM Data Security and Infrastructure Risk Team for all aspects of the WM Vendor Risk program
    • Manage a team of high-performing individuals, overseeing several WM Vendor Risk programs, Business as Usual (BAU) activities, and strategic initiatives
    • Partner closely with the global WM Risk Team and other key stakeholders to identify, report, mitigate, remediate, or accept the risks posed by third parties
    • Prepare status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to the global WM Vendor Risk team
    • Review current vendor risk processes and procedures for continuous improvement, reduce risks, and increase control efficiencies
    • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence
    • Perform ad hoc analyses and participate in special projects as needed by management
    • Aid in the development of a knowledge repository for the WM Vendor Risk team
    • Continue to stay on top of industry trends related to vendor and risk management
    • Document, maintain, and improve processes across the enterprise to mitigate and reduce third-party security and resiliency risk
    • Assist in developing the metrics, including KPIs for vendor risk management
    , * Skills and Requirements
    • Bachelor s degree required
    • 8+ years of experience in a risk or business management function, preferably in the financial services industry
    • Skilled in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing sound conclusions
    • Strong planning, analytical, project management, process improvement, and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team, and under strict deadlines
    • Track record of promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries
    • Willingness to break down functional silos to optimize business results
    • Proven ability to work across departments to influence others and build strong relationships
    • Ability to manage delivery/execution of a wide range of tasks and initiatives
    • Ability to work independently and possess a strong sense of accountability/ownership
    • Ability to build cross-functional partnerships and develop strong stakeholder relationships
    • Excellent, advanced hands-on experience of MS Excel, Power Point, Word
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Prior experience with third party and vendor relationship management
    • Experience with managing a team
    • Foundational understanding of information security risks and controls.
    • General understanding of risk management concepts and controls
    • Experience using visualization (e.g., Tableau, QlikView, Dataiku)
    • Working knowledge in ServiceNow or any other major ticketing system
    • Experience with content management tools including Twiki, SharePoint, and Jive
