Job Description

The position / About the job:

Key Responsibilities in this role:

  • Identify customers, market segments to be focused.
  • Identify target applications, target markets, study the market potential and prioritize action plan.
  • Create sales plan for Direct business, Representative Distributors
  • Prepare and formulate short term (2 years) and long term (5 years) business plan
  • In depth knowledge understanding of Service offering. Derive FAB s (Features, Advantages and Benefits) based on the market/ target customer expectation.
  • Remain updated with information regarding competitors their strategies.
  • During discussions and negotiations, obtain customer inputs and their perceived value about competition and their products.
  • Sketch business plan to brick-wall the customers eliminate competitors.
  • Provide technical support to customers, distributors and key channels on product-driven applications.
  • Conduct both technical and commercial product training to external channel partners and end-users.
  • Provide technical solution against product failure based on the input from customers/sales team/service team.
  • Initiate claim process and resolve by involving local/global Product Management wherever necessary.

Who you are

As a Area Sales Manager based in Mumbai/Pune location for our Energy Service Sales team you would be Responsible for identifying business opportunities within the market and concluding direct sales of Alfa Laval products - Spares and services within a defined area of responsibility (e.g. geographical, group of customer, industry or product group etc.)

What you can be

  • B Tech/ BE in mechanical/ Chemical/ Metallurgy or equivalent experience
  • Degree in marketing or communication would be an advantage
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in B2B sales and marketing.
  • Good knowledge of Alfa Laval and competitor Products and Applications.
  • Preferred industry: Pump, Valve, compressor engineering products
  • Strong attention to detail, natural curiosity with ability to problem-solve creatively
  • Exceptionally effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
