Job Description

The Global RFP Group plays a key role in both the acquisition of new business and retention of valuable existing clients, through the completion of Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and other written materials, for Institutional and Wholesale clients and distributors of JPMAM s products and services. The group is responsible for creating documents which articulate JPMAM s unique value proposition and brand commitments to clients around the world. This team coordinates with various Product groups, Investment Specialists, Client Advisors etc., in the creation, review and maintenance of client documents.The India team is an integral part of Global RFP Group supporting RFPs and RFIs across various channels and Product groups. The Team is also responsible for preparing annual due diligence questionnaire (DDQ), updating quarterly product profiles and biographies of Investment Management personnel.Primary Responsibilities
  • Managing a team of 20+ RFP writers supporting RFPs, RFIs and annual DDQs across Products
  • Complete RFPs and RFIs for Institutional and Wholesale clients and prospects and preparing annual DDQs for existing clients with the highest accuracy in a timely manner
  • Maintain firm level content and data, product profiles, investment process descriptions and other language on IRL & Authoring (or other sources as agreed)
  • Work closely with RFP Teams, Investment Specialists, Client Advisors and other business partners to create and maintain client documents
  • Maintaining a high level of competency when reviewing data and reports, and quickly identifying both data and format issues
  • Assisting the team in maintaining existing procedures, tools and workflows necessary to facilitate the day-to-day activities
  • Communicate in a clear, concise and efficient manner with multiple teams and product groups across regions
  • Drive efficiency by leveraging technology for automation and improvements in the RFP process
Qualifications and skillsEducation
  • Post-graduate with 10+ year of experience in a similar role in Asset Management Industry
  • CFA level 1 could be a distinct advantage
Industry / Product / Process
  • Understanding of the asset management business, various asset classes and investment products is mandatory
  • Prior experience of writing or participating in the RFP process is desirable, preferably in the asset management industry
  • Ability to quickly gain broad knowledge of the range of assigned JPMAM investment products, in order to succeed in the role
  • Financial market awareness and understanding of financial concepts about the Funds products.

  • Preparing the business metrics or KPI on a monthly/quarterly basis for senior management and participating in strategic priorities for the process.
  • Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail
  • Awareness of business risk and compliance procedures
  • Ability to simultaneously manage competing priorities, including immediate, short-term
  • Confidence to work directly with stakeholders at all levels, both to ensure their RFP service needs are met, and to partner with them to agree priorities and deadlines
  • Responsive to client requests; ability to work under pressure, and with flexibility, to meet tight deadlines
Technical / Functional Skillset
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook skills (intermediate/advanced); prior experience of using PMAPS/Ovidian/ Spectrum and Saleforce.com applications also helpful
  • Change Management skills, including demonstrated experience of driving process efficiencies
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Outstanding numeracy/quantitative skills
  • Interest in the presentation and customization of completed documents

  • Strong Stakeholder and People management skills is mandatory
  • Outstanding organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
