About Business line/Function :The Equity Financing desk (EQF) and Financial Resource Management (FRM) are part of Equities business and work on enabling the Equity franchise, to maximize its profit. The desks work in close coordination with other desks within Equities and Prime Finance in particular to ensure appropriate allocation of costs and CRD IV leverage. Also, manage several limits and constraints for the Business like LCR, NSFR, G-SIB, CCAR Stress tests etc. Job Title:Trading AssistantDate:2023Department:Prime ServicesLocation:Mumbai, NKPBusiness Line / Function:Equity FinanceReports to:(Direct)LeadGrade:(if applicable)NA(Functional)Number of Direct Reports:0Directorship / Registration:NAPosition PurposeThe team is looking for a resource who can work in close coordination with traders located in London, Paris and other hub locations and provide bespoke analysis, help with trading baskets, work with the traders on Ad hoc requests, coordinate with other desks within the business to provide high quality solutions. Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities Assist, improve and possibly take ownership of:
• Projects assigned by the traders in areas of Funding, collateral management and regulatory charges
• Analyzing data from internal tools and identifying opportunities for financing trades
• Reshuffle/substitutions on swaps for inefficiency and corporate actions while ensuring compliance with UCITS restrictions
• Analysing the movements in PnL on trading book and providing commentary
• Book management of borrow-loan book - monitoring of corporate action, inefficiencies, over-borrows etc
Contributing Responsibilities
• Working with MO and BO teams to help resolve queries raised for the desk
• Helping with trade bookings as and when required
Technical & Behavioral Competencies Post Graduate degree in business, finance or economics preferred Understanding of various financial products, prime services and global markets Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), comfortable working and communicating with various teams spread across regions. Attention to detail, ability to raise problems immediately to the broader team when necessary Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically in Excel Experience in programming (Python/ VBA) and analytical tools would be beneficial.
