FCG prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting FCG, along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarizes, plans and forecasts the organization s financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future revenues, expenses and earnings. FCG is comprised of Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting groups, and Valuation Review.Responsibilities Include:Summary of the roleThe main focus of the role will be to provide IWM Management, monthly Management packs with commentaries and analysis; BU s expense management & perform control function. This is a critical role with significant responsibility to ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of monthly financials to the Senior Management. The role will necessitate working closely with controllers across globe. Constantly challenging the status quo to derive & deliver improved efficiencyDetails of the role Invest time in building a detailed understanding of the revenue & cost components to provide business commentary on PBT and financial performance. Full responsibility to produce monthly management packs for PWM (Private Wealth management) Asia business and provide expense analysis to the IWM CFO. Perform month end close monitor including accruals and necessary reclass entries. Keep a close tab on expenses perform trend analysis to identify & query unusual expense items. Perform detailed expense analysis including investigation for material changes in cost structure and provide commercial commentary. Support Sales Reporting for PWM Asia business across 7 country teams. Assist in providing timely ad hoc reporting & analysis needed for running the business. Support Budgeting & Forecasting process for PWM Asia; support scenario analysis for local Forecast Perform the month end reconciliation process (3Rs) for signing off Expenses; taking full responsibility of understanding and verifying all balances Understand the Reporting Systems and drive solutions to improve efficiency and improve the control environment. Actively manage projects related to new system implementation, new allocation processes, change in accounting practices. Prepare relevant schedules for board meetings, Industry wide surveys, regulatory submissions on need basis and respond to Audit queries. Learn the Businesses being supported and deliver new processes and tactical fixes to improve the processes and control environment., *Skills Required:- Strong academic background.- Qualified MBA or equivalent qualification.- Excellent organizational, communication skills and desire to learn- Must be highly motivated with the commitment required to consistently meet goals- Must produce accurate work and have strong attention to detail- Strong ability to understand processes and make recommendations for improvement- Must demonstrate fully responsibility for their work and escalate effectively- Ability to work under pressure and deliver accurate work- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills is a must.- 1-2 years Reporting experience within a Bank organization- A team player who is willing to pitch in to share teams work loadSkills Desired:- Advanced Microsoft excel knowledge- Knowledge of Financial products (Fixed Income, Equity)
