Associate - OTC Settlements Equity

Job Description

* Primary Responsibilities The successful candidate will responsible for Equity Derivative Settlement related functions within the wider Cash Settlements team. The successful candidate is expected to become a Subject Matter Expert in their function and provide support to the Director group.
• Escalation point for issues and discrepancies with external and internal counterparties
• Daily oversight and monitoring of team functions
• Investigation and resolution of Client fails & breaks
• Subject Matter expert for equity derivatives and other products covered within the group
• Analysis of current processes and identification of process/system limitations to increase efficiencies
• Supporting applicable Change the Bank and Run the Bank Projects impacting the team, from inception; providing SME support, testing and monitoring into Production
• Client and Business Unit relationship management
• Participation in industry forums where applicable
Skills Required Experience of Equity derivative settlement or related Settlements role
• Bachelors Degree.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a fast paced multi-tasking environment.
• Proactive and self-motivated. #
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Experience of working with swifts
• Strong product knowledge on equity swaps, options, futures, forwards, ETF s, Warrants and all equity underlying products
• Understanding on derivative trade work flow and its related cash settlements.
• Knowledge on market nuances for all Asian markets
Skills desired
• 3+ years of experience within Clearing Settlement operations
• Strong IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel)
• Strong product knowledge (Equity derivative - Equity swaps, Options, Futures, Forwards, ETF s, Warrants and all equity underlying products.)
