Job Description

    Associate / Senior Associate [Venture Capital] position with one of Indias most storied business houses with strong legacy. Job Profile: End to end deal management 1. Deal Origination: - Work with analyst(s) to drive pipeline creation for investments in specific sector(s)- Build industry relationships for deal identification and sourcing - universities, VCs, incubators, accelerators, bankers, etc. - Methodically work towards propriety deal sourcing - continuously identify and meet founding teams - Map emerging trends (global and India) and deal activity in specific identified sector(s) 2. Investing - Develop deep understanding of the identified focus sectors - Detailed evaluation of potential investment opportunities - Prepare detailed financial models and conduct valuation exercise - Prepare IC presentations / notes - Lead diligence on the portfolio cos. - Financial, Legal and commercial - Structure transactions - Execution of investment agreements / documents 3. Portfolio Monitoring and Exit - Actively involve in monitoring portfolio companies - including financial and operating performance- Nurture, support and provide guidance to portfolio companies- Preparation of periodic reports for internal review - Implementing and navigating exits strategiesCompetencies: - Good understanding of the VC eco-system - Ability to liaison well with founders and eco-system partners - High on taking initiatives with a go-getter attitude- Strong business acumen and analytical skills - Demonstrated passion for venture investing- Result orientation and ability to take ownership - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Strong excel and financial modelling skills - Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment- Positive outlook, humble and ambitiousEducation/Certification :- Engineer / B.Tech (pref. Computer science) (IIT/BITS/NIT) + MBA (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SP Jain, etc.)- 4-6 years investing experience in a VC fund - Preferably seen an investment cycle OR been part of few early-stage investments,
