Job Description

A critical priority for Asset & Wealth Management (WM) is to ensure that high-quality data is available to run our business and meet our clients needs. The Asset and Wealth Management Chief Data Office (CDO) was established to define AWMs data strategy and support for the core data used across AWM and needed to run our business. The AWM CDO is positioned in the AWM Operations division, within AWM Center reporting to the AWM Chief Operational Officer (COO). We work with the AWM Business & Technology teams as well as the Firmwide CDO team to deliver robust platforms and effective operating models to ensure sound management of our data.Role DescriptionWorking within the CDO who are focusing on the international private bank (IPB) data strategy, and remediation exercise. The groups focus is ensuring that we have the correct data models in place, a strategy to ensure everyone is consuming data from the correct system of record and crucially that the data is clean allowing us as a business to increase our digital footprint and improve our client service and operational efficiency.Working with operational groups, technology and the business to effect changes in process and behavior to control the input of data and maintain data qualityKey ResponsibilitiesAssist with platform migrations and system infrastructure improvements aligned with IPB key Data Strategy initiatives, collaborating with Business and Technology identify data requirements, ensure source data availability in the appropriate data environment and construct model ready datasetsContribute to the development and execution of the Firmwide Data Quality strategy, partnering with CDO team and IPB stakeholders to maintain proper inventory of data quality issues impacting IPB

  • Translate business requirements into data reports leveraging Denodo platform, developing queries and partnering with Technology, as required, to support business partners key initiatives
  • Prepare presentations and materials for stakeholder reviews, project team meetings and leadership reviews
  • Manage partnerships with key stakeholders including, Operations, Technology, Business Managers and Advisors
Qualifications
  • Ability to work well and engage with a remote team
  • Ability to think strategically, fix the underlying data issues and implement appropriate control going forward
  • Knowledge and understanding of the IPB systemic architecture and data dependencies
  • Knowledge of client data and related data privacy rules
  • Experience with operating model design and process reengineering
  • Ability to work effectively and build strong relationships with teams across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to dive into details and synthetize information for executive communication
  • Independent, organized, self-motivated and a team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced skills with the core MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); standard PM tools (e.g. MS Project); Familiarity with process-mapping tools (e.g. MS Visio, etc.), SQL
  • Experience of foundational Data sets (Party, Account, instrument etc) would be beneficial
  • Experience of JPM International Private Bank would be advantageous
