Job Description

    As an Associate within the Credit Bureau Consumption function, the candidate will be part of a team with ownership and responsibility for all aspects of credit bureau consumption across all areas and Lines of Business within Consumer & Community Banking. The team is tasked with implementing strong controls around bureau data consumption while ensuring all FCRA guidelines, permissible use, and regulatory alignment is adhered to along with optimization of current bureau processes while reducing redundancy. The position will assist with vendor engagement activities, project support, production monitoring, change control, documentation, and functionality certification related to the Risk consumption of credit bureau data across Consumer & Community Banking lines of business.A balance of initiative, leadership, influence and matrixed management skills are important success factors for this role. The right candidate will be comfortable working independently or as part of small project teams. S/he has strong analytical skills, is highly confident and possesses superior communication skills. This is a critical role and will require both technical and analytical skills and the ability to engage external stakeholders. Responsibilities:
    • Include the use of querying tools, reports and analyses to mitigate risk resulting from changes made to our decision engines.
    • Identify and resolve concerns by assisting developers, project managers, technology leads, production support, business/underwriting, and Risk Strategy Stakeholders with inquiries.
    • As part of the lifecycle may include production monitoring of all CCB Risk batch processes, development and management of the Account Review/Prescreen production schedule, change control, documentation and functionality certification.
    • Research production tickets/defects including monitoring, reporting, and resolution with appropriate stakeholders, including identification of process improvement opportunities and partnership with Risk Leaders to implement initiatives according to control standards and adherence to target SLAs.
    • Assess potential end-user or customer impacts for bureau related changes
    • Liaise with business key stakeholders to ensure vendors have clear specifications for each project and/or initiative
    • Maintain the appropriate tracking and documentation for all consumption engagements, related processes, flows and functional documentation
    • Coordinate, support, and/or execute post-implementation monitoring and reconciliation of Credit Bureau usage through initiatives that may include Account Review, Trigger and Batch processes
    • Ensure all batch processes are executed according to SLA s and issues are escalated to appropriate stakeholders
    • Coordination of first occurrence and post-implementation validation related to bureau changes
    • System analysis and ongoing validation of existing and newly created attributes based on bureau environment changes
    • Maintain appropriate Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSA s) and business analysis/ requirements
    Qualifications
    • Bachelors degree or higher with 5+ years of work experience.
    • Strong Leadership, organizational skills, communication skills and the ability to work independently.
    • Experience with Banking Domain and its various products such as Card, Mortgage, Auto or Business Banking a plus
    • Experience working with SAS, SQL, TABLEAU, Alteryx and/or other Oracle and/or Teradata database tools
    • Strong data knowledge and analytical skills
    • Good understanding of the processes and procedures of the functional area and department.
    • Strong credit bureau knowledge / background preferred
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
    • UNIX experience preferred.
    • Ability to work as part of a team
    • Strong Tableau knowledge a plus
    • Capacity to work under time-sensitive business deadlines
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Experience in financial services a plus
