Job Description

    Funds Services Transformation function sits within Securities Services Operations & partners with multiple operations, change, product development & technology teams to ensure successful delivery of multi-year, cross-functional strategic program agenda. The team is responsible for Transformations Projects, Efficiency agenda, new product and functional changes delivered by different technology platforms and team and ensuring quality testing of the product releases before moving into production. Role Description: We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated and experienced Executive Director to be the India and Philippines lead for the Fund Accounting Transformation team with primary responsibility for all Change and testing deliveries on select operational objectives. The Lead will be expected to ensure all deliverables are met per the Change delivery programs or the associated timeframes. They will also be key in ensuring cross function partnership with all locations within the distributed operating model - building communication lines and ensuring all issues are resolved in a satisfactory manner. The successful candidate must have proven track record of having held leadership positions managing large scale distributed teams and running large Change and Transformation programs successfully. The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, knowledge and practical experience in latest data and digital tools like Alteryx, Xceptor, Ui-Path and Instabase, and excellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skills partnering with senior stakeholders to develop, implement, and manage strategic program throughout the Fund Accounting operations business. Key Responsibilities: Functional:
    • Stakeholder management and collaboration across Technology, Service and Product Development partners as also Operational Stakeholders globally.
    • Perform ongoing oversight, provide leadership and subject matter expertise to ensure the execution of a strong oversight model within the Transformation and Testing space.
    Service Delivery & Client Focus:
    • Functional responsibilities to manage overall Change and Transformation agenda flawless execution and enhance client experience that requires the candidate to work in a matrix operating model working in close partnership across sites in India, Philippines and across the globe
    • Build strong partnership with local and global stakeholders to build a best in class Transformation organization.
    Operational Excellence & Innovation:
    • The candidate will be required to drive innovative solutions for efficient operations and prioritize key technology enhancements.
    • The Lead will be responsible to identify automation opportunities which will lead to significant business impact leading to financial saves, best practice sharing, reduce both manual effort and risk
    • The candidate should convert knowledge of industry, business into a competitive advantage.
    • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, working closely with Technology partners to improve the execution, quality, efficiency & consistency of services across the global operations
    People Leadership
    • Build a strong and transparent culture for team.
    • Advance inclusive leadership by supporting diversity & inclusion agenda, training, performance management, networking, mobility and mentoring
    • Candidate will be required to engage, motivate and influence direct reports, teams, peers to enhance overall employee engagement. Team strength is expected to be circa 60 people
    • Provide adequate coaching and mentoring for the team to upskill and grow their careers.
    Risk & Control Governance
    • Candidate will be responsible for building a strong risk aware/ controls focused operations.
    • Work closely with business partners and Controls Managers in driving/ implementing an effective, robust proactive and sustainable controls program to proactively manage risks to the business
    • Institute a strong governance framework locally in the region and metrics which are consistent with the globe to ensure strong focus on quality, delivery and enhancing client experience.
    • Proven ability to deal with complex and ambiguous situations and drive solutions.
    Experience & Skill Set
    • The candidate should have 15-20 years of experience in Financial Services Industry, with preferably at least 5 years in Fund Services operations. The candidate should ideally have experience managing a large distributed team including work experience in Software Testing, Software Engineering, Finance domain involving capital markets, mutual funds and fixed income products.
    • Strong knowledge with corporate and investment banking process, product, and systems.
    • Deal with day-to-day issues as well as planning and executing projects/ initiatives
    • Ensuring the teams activities support Operations in attaining in strategic goals
    • Ability to drive automation and tech solutions across the team.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong experience managing and working with cross border teams and leading global initiatives.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and adept at communicating with all levels of the business and technical stakeholders of the organization
    • Ability to partner with demanding stakeholders, managing their expectations while developing strong working relationships with them
    • Prior experience with automation and new age tools like Tableau, Alteryx, UI Path.
    • Understanding of operational risks and related controls, audit and internal control framework
    • Should have prior experience of delivering global projects including around process re-engineering, system integrations, productivity management in the areas of Mutual Funds, Capital markets
    • Confidence to challenge, and be challenged, whilst remaining with a positive can-do outlook
