Job Description

    Responsibilities: Fixed Income Cash Trades
    • Timely and accurate capture and settlement of all transactions in the Risk Management Systems
    • Review intraday exceptions to swiftly resolve- STP breaks, Standard settlement instructions, upstream breaks, etc and ensure timely settlement.
    • Awareness of market settlements protocols and cut offs to ensure smooth settlement
    • Effectively partner with the onshore team in the trade flow to ensure upstream trade repair /updates are accurate and faciliate STP.
    • Partner with the onshore/local teams in identifying and remediating root causes impacting STP. Drive the agenda- present the business case- partner with technology and lead to full delivery with minimal supervisory oversight
    • Ensure review of the process metrics and SLAs- Review work allocation strategies to ensure limited capacity times are effectively and proactively addressed
    • Complete intraday / end of day processes accurate capture of risk / trades
    • Ensure all controls are diligently performed, completed, and signed off on a timely basis
    • Ensure strong product knowledge with strong communication to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of queries for the team.
    • Participate and contribute to the various strategic initiatives; keep improving and evolving processes and business architecture
    • Build an in-depth understanding of all trading structures from both a financial and operational perspective
    This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
    • 2+ years of Strong product / prematching/ settlement knowledge of Fixed Income Cash Trades
    • Understanding of the end to end of the trade flow and associated risks of Fixed Income Cash Trades
    • Strong multi tasking skills in a high pressure environment with Sales, Clients, market cut offs.
    • Knowledge of the front to back Operations process (including the key elements such as confirmations, settlements, and regulatory reporting) and facilitate issue resolution across teams
    • Must have a strong drive for results despite challenging stakeholders (locally & globally)
    • clear communication skills and an ability to use these to work collaboratively, explain, and challenge, as appropriate
    • Attention to details and sense of ownership
    • Great team player able to work in a pressurized and changing environment
    • Strong problem solving, control, and project management skills
    • Strong technical skills (macros/ alteryx, etc) would be an added advantage
