Global Finance & Business Management ( GF&BM ) India is a combined LOB-aligned (Line of Business-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan s global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has 13000+ people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm s Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm s capital. GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main pillars of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products. The current opening is within the CIB Treasury P&A in Mumbai which forms part of CIB LOB within GF&BM India. About the Team Business Description : The CIB Treasury P&A team, is aligned within CIB Treasury, and whose primary responsibility is the management of forecasts and plan for purposes of managing business activities across Treasury strategies (i.e. balance sheet, funding, liquidity, G-SIB, RWA, capital and leverage strategies). This team is also responsible for providing various analytics for senior management across all the regulatory constraints to support CIB objectives of maximizing return on capital, balance sheet usage, liquidity and leverage. Stakeholders of the group include CIB Finance senior management, business heads, product controllers & planning and analysis. The team works extensively with the LOB Product control groups and CIB Treasury to ensure complete and accurate reporting of risk weighted assets, balance sheet, capital and liquidity for both actuals and forecasts. The group also works closely with the Corporate Finance Reporting, Corporate Treasury, Corporate P&A, RCMO (Regulatory Capital Management Office) to ensure a complete understanding of business issues and the accurate execution of policies. About the Role Primary Responsibilities: Job Description : The individual will be based in Mumbai and will support the CIB Treasury P&A team in Mumbai as an individual contributor in deliverables relating to internal capital allocations and analysis of Balance Sheet, RWA, Capital and NII. The individual will manage the detailed analysis of capital and return on equity (ROE) calculations for CIB business. The applicant will also support control agenda requirements which includes SOPs, User Tool documentation and action plan remediation. At times, the individual will also be engaged in ongoing strategic projects which improve the firm s efficient utilization of liquidity, LCR and other Firmwide resources. Job responsibilities will include:
• Manage production of monthly, quarterly senior level overviews which articulate CIB total results with a focus on total CIB balance sheet trend results, Capital and Return on equity (ROE) trends as well as working with senior stakeholders for the underlying business drivers and analysis.
• Deep diving and building detailed understanding of internal systems (Wholesale Client Profitability) to calculate and analyze client level capital allocations and ROE trends and compare them against the CIB trends to identify the gaps and optimization opportunities.
• Manage CIB forecasting, planning and articulation of results. This includes partnering across all CIB sub lines of business to ensure lines of business ( LOB s ) produce forecasts that align to latest corporate and business level objectives.
• Partner closely with central team and line of business controllers where needed.
• Provide P&A support for CIB Treasury Product Control function; this includes surveying revenue and balance sheet, capital projections and coordinating deliverables across stakeholders
• Support ad-hoc requests around growth initiatives as well as investor day and press release presentations.
• Liaise, partner and build strong relationship with key stakeholders across P&A and line controller teams
Desired Candidate Profile: Qualifications
• Familiarity with Balance Sheet products, regulatory Capital concepts and core lines of business is a must.
• Bachelor s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. 10+yrs of relevant experience; experience in Planning & Analysis, Reporting or Controlling roles a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
