Job Description

Our clients rely on timely and efficient status reports, and as Project Manager, you will drive the charge with project direction, metric definition, and performance management. What you ll do: As a Systems Technology Expert Labs Project Manager,
    • Track the project & adjust the schedule based on the priorities or roadblocks.
    • Escalate delays on a schedule beyond one work week.
    • Discuss with IT, the Application Team, client PM for Downtimes
    • Conduct project status meetings. Communicate updates to all concerned for the previous and next fortnight s activities.
    • Provide a detailed schedule for the Go-live Migration/deployment & a Project Signoff Roles and Responsibilities:
    • Be responsible for successful delivery of IBM s largest and most complex Systems infrastructure deployment.
    • Manage client engagements, ensuring delivery of solutions for complex IT, business and client requirements.
    • Responsible for leading a project team in delivering a solution to the client with overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.
    • Be responsible for managing all project resources, vendors and subcontractors, and for establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and the client. They provide day to day direction to the project team and regular project status to the client.
    • Manages the project work plan and holds the team and project resources accountable to variances in budget and hours.
    • Possess thorough understanding of estimation, letters of agreement, master service agreements and staffing model.
    • Oversees schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment.
    • Ensures requirements for internal technology projects align to operational standards. Develops alternate requirements or document exceptions as appropriate.
    Required Technical and Professional Expertise
    • Minimum 10 years of experience as Project Manager
    • Project Management Certifications Project Management Professional (PMP)
    • At least 3-years of experience with Server & Storage Infrastructure deployment with Datacentre exposure
    • Extensive project management experience and proven skill to ensure that project objectives and goals are met within agreed upon time, scope, resource, budget and quality requirements.
    • Experience with Project Management tools like MS Project, Jira, MS Office.
    Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
    • IBM Server, Storage Portfolio Basic knowledge along with associated Operating systems (AIX, Linux) & Database (Oracle)
    • Typical Datacentre Operations & processes (Eg. Power, Cooling, Data Backup )
    • Strong communication, analytical skills and a customer service orientation
