THE ROLE The post-holder will support and handle cases (women and Children) approaching TARA counselling centres for legal help and guidance on the issues of gender based violence.
The Consultant Lawyer reports to Associate Program Director and maintains day-to-day contact with
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing legal consultation and support services to clients approaching the counseling centres of SNEHA in Wadala and Kurla Locations
Representing women in Family Court, Bandra Court and the Sessions Court.
Provide consultation at counseling centers UHC, LTMG TARA office at Wadala.
Take training sessions for community stakeholders as and when required.
To work with the Program Coordinator on collating the cases of Domestic violence and prepare a report to be used as an Advocacy tool. Also work out a network with the other
NGOs working on Violence against Women.
Filling in Commcare data on a regular basis.
Documentation of cases as per program requirements.
Educational qualification: LLB is must
At least three years experience of handling DV cases working on gender based violence.
Oral and written command of Hindi, Marathi and English.
