Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities
    • Research and develop short form content for product pages across all categories (core task).
    • Work on optimising product descriptions to make them more informative and search friendly.
    • Conduct hygiene checks across the site, identify content gaps and errors, and update content where needed.
    • Coordinate with the brand management and catalogue teams to ensure that descriptions on up-to-date, accurate, complete and competitive.
    • Respond to product-, brand- and regime-centric queries from customers on product pages.
    • Write search engine optimised long form beauty articles (1000+ words) that cover beauty and wellness topics, brands, categories and concerns.
    Essential requirements for this position:
    • Highly-refined writing and editing skills, including grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
    • Native-level proficiency in English.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks by effectively scheduling and prioritising.
    • High degree of professional discipline, time management and organisational skills.
    • Ability to find new approaches to problem-solving and contribute to continuous improvement of our process.
    Beneficial skills and experience (good-to-haves):
    • Previous experience in the beauty industry or a deep interest in beauty products.
    • Previous experience with deadline driven work.
    • Some experience with SEO or keyword optimisation/placement.
    • Good research and fact checking skills.
    • Ability to work independently with low levels of supervision.
    • Prior copy editing experience is a huge plus.
    Work experience:
    • BA graduate in English / Journalism / Mass Media or any other Arts related field.
    • 1-2 years of content writing experience with a portfolio of work.
