Job Description

    This UI Designer role is a senior position in the Technology & Innovation (T&I) team within the Corporate Commercial Institutional Banking (CCIB) Data Technology department. He/She will be responsible for designing software in cloud platform that meet user needs. The key success metrics of the role are astute understanding of user demands, improvement of platform to be more user-friendly and intuitive and creative problem-solving. Key Responsibilities
    • Understand product specifications and user psychology.
    • Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback.
    • Create personas through user research and data.
    • Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success.
    • Develop wireframes and prototypes around user needs.
    • Implement attractive designs aligned with SCB design principles.
    • Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability).
    • Provide technical and functional expertise to Junior Business Analysts and Developers to remove hurdles in the project.
    • Work closely with Developers to communicate design ideas and prototypes.
    • Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends.
    • Participate in defect triage process periodically.

    • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
    • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.
    Key Stakeholders
    • Delivery Lead, Solution Architect, Business Stakeholders, Developers and Technology Partners.
    Our Ideal Candidate
    • BSc in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
    • Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a UX or UI Designer in a software development or technology delivery team.
    • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Javascript, React JS, Redux, ES6.
    • Demonstrable UX design skills with a strong portfolio.
    • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture.
    • Proficient in design software (e.g. UXPin, Balsamiq).
    • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
    • Experience in Financial/Banking Technology or Corporate Banking is preferred.
