Job Description

    *The Role Responsibilities The Product Owner (PO) is an empowered decision maker of a Team(s).The PO may work with a Chief Product Owner (CPO) / Hive Lead within a HIVE when the scope is too large for a single PO.POs are accountable for maximising the business value of their product or product suites. They ensure the voice of clients and relevant stakeholders are represented.Product Owner is a critical role and considered a core member of the squad. They lead, communicate and are responsible for the strategic vision and direction of the product and alignment to business metrics and outcomes.
    • The Product Owner will be 100% dedicated to the role. They may support more than one team, only if the teams backlog items are derived from the same Product Backlog.
    • PO s are accountable for the above items. As they cannot be experts at all elements, they may choose to empower and delegate responsibility to others, whilst retaining full accountability.
    This role is separate from the Product Manager role which is typically a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or specialist.Regulatory and Business Conduct
    • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
    • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
    • Lead the FCC Data team as Transaction Monitoring Product owner to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment].
    • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

    Our Ideal Candidate
    • 3 years of experience and proven knowledge in the Transaction Monitoring
    • 1 year in Agile as a Product Owner (or a similar role), strong skills of maintaining and prioritizing a backlog.
    • Deep understanding of industry trends and client needs ability to create a value proposition and a squad vision.
    • Demonstrated track record of leading teams to deliver objectives.
    • Previously coached and mentored team members with regular feedback sessions.
    • Previously defined product requirements and development roadmap based on functional expertise.
    • Scrum Master, Product Owner certification (or equivalent) is a plus.
    • Strong prioritization and analytical skills to manage backlog for the squad.
    • Strong communication skills to synchronize tasks, clarify requirements and delivery expectations with stakeholders.
    • Good to have knowledge of design thinking frameworks, user stories and customer journeys.
