Job Description

    • Defining data quality standards, working with clients and internal data users to understand data usage and risk, implementing targeted data quality rules
    • Investigating data quality issues using results of testing and client feedback, establishing root cause and preventative measures
    • Working with technology and product partners to review and improve the design of systems and data feeds, championing improvements to data quality
    • Establishing dashboards and metrics. Demonstrating progress on data quality improvements to clients and senior management with clear and consistent statistics and commentary
    • Supporting the implementation of tools for data view, data lineage, data workflow management
    • Embedding data quality in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release cycles, working with technology and testing teams to ensure appropriate data quality standards are applied
    • Supporting Operations users in accessing data, understanding its provenance and developing best practice in maintaining data standards
    • Working closely with project teams on major system implementations, providing requirements, reviewing design, planning testing, data migration and implementation phases
    • Implementing strong processes for data ownership and stewardship, ensuring roles are understood, and delivering tools and training to support data owners
    Skills/attributes & required experience:
    • Ability to engage effectively across teams, taking a key role partnering with clients, project teams and technology in implementing effective data management practices
    • Good understanding of data components for an Investment Book of Record (IBOR) experience of a range of asset classes (e.g. OTC, ETD, FX, Cash, Equity, Fixed Income)
    • Good understanding of the trade lifecycle, cash management and corporate actions
    • Good technical data management skills e.g. previous data modelling, data architecture, data governance experience, understanding of various tools and methodologies to support
    • Excellent problem solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues, identifying change requirements and recommending enhanced controls
    • Motivated and able to deliver with limited supervision, whilst working effectively in a team
    • Ability to partner in a virtual team environment across multiple locations
