Job Description

  • Design and delivery of technology solution for Financial Markets requirements
  • Prioritisation of requirements, resource planning and management
  • Liaising with Business Analysts and Operations team for requirement analysis
  • Documentation of technology solution and presenting end to end solution in architecture forums
  • Providing Level 3 support for production issues
  • Ownership of Cyber & Obsolescence risks and Audit actions related to the applications in scope
  • Maintaining accurate artefacts regarding deployment architecture and front to back flow
  • Liaising with the technology teams of market infrastructure providers for implementing solutions and debugging production issues
  • Design, development and maintenance of application using microservices architecture
  • Automation of testing and deployment process using Dev Ops tools and technologies
  • Responsible for defining the test strategy and executing performance, soak and peek testing periodically
  • Pro-actively engage, manage & build relationships with both technology (including vendors) & business stakeholders.
  • Support the transition to the production support team.
Business
  • Understand the user requirements and participate system design, particularly the business/functional services. Participate into the full development life cycle of solution building
  • Involve in the collection and documentation of user s requirements and development of user stories

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a top tier university
  • 10+ years of experience with extensive hands-on programming experience in Java
  • Very strong understanding of multi-thread and multi-core design patterns with specific focus on concurrency and messaging patterns, instrumentation and error recovery and management.
  • Microservices implementation experience with focus on domain driven design.
  • Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and Netflix OSS experience.
  • Working knowledge of streaming/data pipeline tools like Kafka will be an added advantage.
  • Strong persistence/storage/NoSQL experience (using JPA/Hibernate, Redis, Memcached, data model design, Cassandra / PostgresSQL / Oracle / Elasticsearch / MongoDB)
  • Experience in Instrumentation framework such as ELK or Grafana.
  • Skilled in pattern design and analytical thinking
  • Strong domain knowledge of Agile and its processes
  • Experience in developing robust, distributed, scalable, high production quality applications
  • Experience with picking and applying good software practices like test driven development, continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Ability to work in a variety of client settings and in a team orientated collaborative environment.
