Roles and ResponsibilitiesPosition:DGM Purchase ChemicalExperience:10-20 years in Purchase roles, preferably in a chemical manufacturing company Qualification: Bachelors or Masters Degree in any stream, Understanding of Chemistry and MBA would be an added advantage Good communication skills essential. Purpose Statement: Lead the Commercial Purchase (Raw Materials) vertical for the Chemicals Segment at AIL. Create reliable strategies and policies for sourcing.Lead and mentor team members to get optimum results.Ensure savings by optimizing cost and reliability of supply.Creat data-driven analyses and share reports with management to evlauate performance of the Purchase function. Key Role & Responsibilities: 1. Responsible and accountable for leading the purchase of all Raw Material, Laboratory Chemicals and Packing Material for Chemicals segment.- Sourcing strategy - Price negotiation - Supplier finalization- Logistics strategy- Inventory strategy- Distribution strategy- New Vendor development2. Overseeing and directng sourcing & purchase team. 3. Develop a grip on the entire Source to Pay process, suggest optimization and techology interventions wherever required.4. Track and report key metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness5. Proactive communication with the Manufacturing and Supply Chain planning teams6. Creating the right credit strategy and managing Payables along with the Finance team.7. Anticipate unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies8. Control spend and build a culture of long term saving on procurement costs9. Analyze and evaluate the performance of vendors10. Perform risk management regarding supply contracts, examine and re-evaluate existing contracts11. Optimize the entire import cycle and be knowledgebale on developments related to DGFT/ customs processes and schemes ,
