Apply now!Solution Engineering manager for Digital supply chain(DSC) leads and manages a team of Solution Specialists in the DSC Domain. He/she has primary responsibility for the development of their team, thought leadership in one or few DSC solutions and manage supply chain of selling from demand generation to customer success. He / She will be tasked with coaching and developing a fully engaged and respected team that maintains a high state of readiness in creating vision for the customer, leads end to end Supply chain engagements and creates compelling business cases for digital transformation. In addition, he / she will effectively balance skills and resource allocation to best support pipeline and revenue attainment including deal management and personal leadership for the most important and strategic opportunities in their market unitAs a people manager, he / she will be responsible for supporting the success of not only their direct reports, but also the success of all employees within the larger team they are a part of, by helping to identify development opportunities and supporting team members to achieve their goals. He / She is expected to know about the members of their extended team and share insights with their peer managers. He / she should look for opportunities to coach and recognize employees directly and provide timely feedbackThe Solution Engineering manager leads and mentors their team and develops their team members solution and sales skills to optimize team performance. He / she must possess strong solution selling and value-based selling skills. In many cases, he / she may also play the role of an solution expert and is responsible for ensuring the market units readiness for adequately positioning SAPs story in that industry.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the available expertise and potential knowledge gaps that exist in their team. Identify areas of development for each team member and work with each to define and execute a tailored learning plan. Foster an atmosphere of continuous learning and improvement.Lead their team to consistently deliver relevant, impactful, and compelling messaging in every interaction of in the customer lifecycleMonitor the development activities for their team members towards their industry and solution learning goals.At least once per quarter, provide feedback and coaching to their team members after dry-runs, demos, and presentations to help them to continuously improve their selling, consulting, and domain skills.Provide regular formal oral and written feedback to their team members during SAP Talk discussions using SuccessFactors tools and applications.Propel all their team members toward accomplishment of team/regional revenue targets. Involve each team member in at least one deal per quarter.Help develop the larger presales organization through leadership of a Solution Hub which provides enablement and a voice of the field to solution management.Represent their team in management reviews and provide updates / highlights / measures to indicate progression towards goals of the organizationPersonally lead large engagements in DSC domainIndustry Readiness Tasks:Be a thought leader in Supply chain domain by authoring content or lead / contribute to thought leadership projectsEngage with key strategic consulting firms to enable them on SAPs Point of view on the SAPs DSC PortfolioUnderstand and drive SAPs vision for industry cloudMaintain a detailed knowledge of SAPs solution suite especially in the area of supply chainUnderstand the key competitors and ensure team members understand and leverage SAPs unique value wedges in every customer interaction.Build key relationships and maintain a network of people in the Industry Business Unit (IBU) organizationSupport marketing events in assigned areas of specialization where appropriate.Qualification:15+ years of relevant presales experienceProficiency in SAPs DSC portfolioExcellent communication and networking skills with C-suite customer audienceLeadership, drive for results and can do attitudePeople Management and Performance ManagementSales and sales processesBuilding and motivating teamsWe are SAPSAP innovations help more than 400,000 customers worldwide work together more efficiently and use business insight more effectively.
