Job Description

  • People and Talent

  • Collaborate with training teams to input to training curriculum to support closing of capability gaps
  • Support training programme delivery by ABC CoE team members to meet the training needs of the business/FCC
  • Active stakeholder management to establish and maintain open lines of communication, support and tone from the top with ABC global CoE and Programme and Regional/Country stakeholders.
  • Support Fraud CoE
Risk Management
  • Be vigilant, identify, and escalate potential regulatory breaches (or where risk tolerances have been breached) and ensure that action plans are developed, tracked, and delivered timely quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased.
  • Ensure the suitability and quality of case data maintained on enterprise case management systems.
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate compliance testing, risk assessment and assurance testing in place for ABC risk areas in the investigation process
  • Apply Group and ABC/FCC policies and processes to manage risks.
  • Assess ABC risks arising from products / segments / geographies / customers / transactions
  • Ensure the suitability and quality of case data maintained on enterprise case management systems.
  • Analyse significant risk events (e.g. external FCPA/UKBA enforcements, non-compliant transactions, production orders etc.) to ensure that all connected parties, particularly cross-border are identified and reported at the appropriate levels internally as well as externally across all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Identify intelligence for typology studies and risk mitigation plans.
  • Advise relevant stakeholders on outcomes of Bribery and corruption risks identification and assessment methodologies.
  • Support ABC risks assessments where required.
  • Partner with local and/or Group legal counsel for advice on technical matters.
  • Ensure that significant investigations and intelligence projects are concluded internally and externally where relevant (including cross-border).
  • Provide investigative expertise to support management of Significant Regulatory/Legal cases.
  • Conduct a root cause analysis on the control/other failures to ensure lessons are learned, extrapolated and shared across the bank to avoid occurrence of the same issue elsewhere.
  • Provide intelligence (to internal forums) on emerging risk typologies.
Governance
  • Support Head, ABC to ensure all ABC policies and standards are aligned to the Group s Enterprise Risk Management Framework standards.
  • Work in close liaison with the Group Fraud Intelligence & Investigation Unit
  • Attend relevant risks forum and leadership meetings.
  • Ensure tracking and remediation of intelligence and investigations related regulatory findings.
  • In the event of serious regulatory breaches, or where risk tolerances have been breached, ensure senior management and relevant regulators are informed and that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased.
  • Prepare and cascade lessons learned from audit findings, assurance activities and specific investigations.
  • Propose control improvements, enhancements and simplifications where appropriate.
  • Collate, analyse and interpret data in reports to senior management and relevant Business/Function stakeholders and governance/risk committees.
  • Creation and delivery of periodic reporting and ensuring timely escalation of significant risks and issues arising from ABC Investigations.
  • Main point of contact for ABC investigations tracking and governance
Regulatory & Business Conduct

Other Responsibilities
  • Embed Here for good and Group s brand and values in the Group FCC Team.
  • Develop an understanding of relevant policy requirements and work with stakeholders to confirm how these requirements will be met, including the risk control framework, in the relevant function and/or business.
  • Draft new or amended policies and standards to capture the agreed compliance approach.
  • Work with policy owners to have all changes approved, including the drafting of papers for approving committees if required.
  • Ensure all documents are published in a timely and accurate manner.
Other responsibilities as required from time to timeOur Ideal Candidate
  • Experience and expertise in management of ABC risks and compliance in a large multinational financial institution, consulting firm or law firm in a similar role.
  • Extensive experience with conducting complex investigations (i.e. evidence gathering, data analysis, reporting etc) in financial, law enforcement, regulatory or professional services
  • Advanced investigative leadership and decision making, creating and reviewing Terms of Reference for investigations, recording investigations, identifying and completing lines of enquiry effectively.
  • Subject matter expertise in assessing and managing bribery risk and violations of the FCPA, UKBA and other anti-corruption laws
  • Quality assurance reviews of investigations and investigation outputs.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems and Bank IT infrastructure would be an added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Strong collaboration skills and to building networks and relationships
  • Excellent communication and business writing skills
  • A proactive attitude to support continued effectiveness and identification of efficiency gains
  • Understanding of best practice risk management techniques and frameworks relating to ABC, Fraud, and Investigations
  • Relevant ABC, Fraud, Investigation and financial crime qualifications/accreditations, ACAMs, ACFE, other
  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution or bachelor s degree in another area with a law degree is a bonus
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
