Job Description

    Engineering associates are entry-level professionals who work closely with engineers. They may perform a wide range of tasks, from basic clerical duties to more complex technical assignments.Engineering associates typically have little to no formal training in engineering or related fields. However, they must be able to quickly learn new concepts and apply this knowledge to real-world situations.Engineering Associate Job DutiesEngineering associates typically have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
    • Monitoring equipment during operation to ensure that it continues to operate within safe parameters
    • Analyzing test data and identifying areas for improvement
    • Preparing engineering reports that include detailed descriptions of materials, methods, calculations, designs, drawings, and proposed construction schedules
    • Writing computer programs for applications such as robotics, artificial intelligence, video game development, and website design
    • Conducting research related to improving existing products or developing new products
    • Providing technical support for equipment maintenance and repair
    • Determining equipment specifications, including size, weight, strength, and speed requirements
    • Forecasting equipment needs based on projects currently in development
    • Preparing cost estimates for projects using computer software applications such as AutoCAD or Excel
